John Broadwood & Sons Grand Piano

Bring a piece of music history into your home with this stunning John Broadwood & Sons grand piano. Meticulously restored by Castle Pianos, it combines classic turn-of-the-century charm with effortless playability and reliable stability.

The Edwardian cabinet features gorgeous chatoyance wood, delicate satinwood inlay, and elegant tapered legs. But its real magic is in the sound. Built by the world's oldest piano maker—famed for crafting instruments for Beethoven and Chopin—this Broadwood delivers a delightfully warm, rich, and singing tone. Its soft, responsive touch gives you incredible control.

Whether you're an avid pianist or looking for an extraordinary centerpiece, this restored beauty offers a unique, soulful playing experience modern pianos just can't replicate.

This piano is based in a house in Leicestershire and will require a private viewing.

It was wonderful to see Martha Argerich play Beethoven this weekend. Occasions like this are very rare and won’t happen many more times.

At The Piano Studio we have just taken this lovely Reid Sohn SG 140 baby grand into the shop. Made around 2003, it is an absolute gem for anyone wanting the elegance and rich tone of a grand piano without losing the whole room. It is 148cm wide and 140cm deep.

The piano is finished in a really warm, inviting natural wood that looks stunning under the showroom lights. Musically, it’s in fantastic shape—the interior is exceptionally clean, and it has a wonderfully responsive touch that is a joy to play.

It plays beautifully and represents incredible value for a high-quality modern baby grand.

At The Piano Studio in Bull Yard, we have gathered a lovely mix of upright pianos in all colours, styles, and sizes. Each one has been chosen because it has something special about it—its sound, its feel, or simply its charm. You’ll find well-known names such as Welmar, Kemble, Yamaha, Seiler and Reid Sohn, along with a handful of other makes that we think deserve attention. Whether you prefer the warmth of a classic wooden finish or the clean look of something more modern, there’s usually a piano here that catches the eye.

We try to keep the studio relaxed and unhurried, so you can take your time and get a sense of each instrument without any pressure. And if you’re thinking about learning to play, or picking it up again after a break, we also offer piano lessons for adults during the daytime. These sessions are friendly, encouraging, and shaped around what you want from the piano—whether that’s confidence, creativity, or simply the pleasure of playing.

In the end, we don’t just want to sell pianos. We want to help you find one you will enjoy living with for years to come.

Vouchers for Piano lessons also available in store
