This Audi A6 came in with electronic parking brake issues.

After diagnosis, we traced the fault to a damaged wire hidden within the wiring loom under the carpet, running from the park brake switch in the centre console to the park brake control module in the boot. Water ingress had allowed the loom to sit in water, causing the wire to corrode and fail.

Fault located, wiring repaired, and the parking brake system back operating correctly. ✅

Another CAN bus fault diagnosed and repaired today.

This Mini came in with multiple serious electrical issues, all traced back to the gear linkage cables trapping the wiring loom to the power steering motor. This caused the CAN network to short to earth, creating a range of communication faults across the vehicle.

Correct diagnosis saved unnecessary parts replacement and got the fault repaired properly. ✅

Intermittent, random faults on this Volvo XC90 had everyone guessing…

After proper diagnosis, we traced it back to interference on the high-speed CAN bus network. The root cause? Water ingress into the power steering control module, which was scrambling communication across the system.

Accurate diagnosis is key — it’s not always the obvious fault.

Dash lit up like a Christmas tree on this Citroën 🎄⚠️

Came in with multiple warning lights, all tracing back to an incorrect signal from a wheel speed sensor.

Before jumping straight to replacing parts, we went down the testing route… and it paid off 👇

Wiring checks quickly revealed the real issue — rotten wiring causing signal interference and inconsistent readings.

No sensor fault, just poor wiring doing a great job of confusing the system 😅

Wiring repaired, signal restored, and all warning lights cleared ✅

Another reminder: test the circuit, not just the component.

Rear wiper fault on this Mazda Bongo that turned out to be a bit of a hidden one 🔍

Initial testing showed a blown fuse on the rear wiper circuit — classic sign of a short somewhere in the system ⚡️

Time to trace it back…

The fault led us into the tailgate loom, where the cause became clear 👇
A screw from the rear window curtain runner had been fitted straight through the loom 😬

Direct short, blown fuse, and no rear wiper.

Fault repaired, wiring reinstated, and everything back working as it should ✅

Sometimes it’s not wear and tear… it’s what’s been added after the fact.

Another one for the LIN bus file 📡

This Audi came in with front wipers completely inoperative — no communication with the wiper system.

With a wiper motor north of £300, it’s not something you want to guess at 💸

Proper testing led the way… and once again, it wasn’t the component at fault.

The issue came down to a LIN communication fault, preventing the motor from receiving the command to operate.

Fault found, wiring sorted, and wipers back in action 🌧️✅
