This week starts with products from over a dozen British growers filling our fridge ā€” and thatā€™s not unusual for us.

While British Flowers Week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate home-grown blooms, weā€™re proud to champion British-grown flowers 52 weeks of the year.

From Lincolnshire to Cornwall, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire - we know every grower we work with - all working hard to source an incredible range of seasonal flowers, foliage and natural materials, making them accessible to florists, flower arrangers, students and flower lovers alike.

Our fridge is packed with British-grown goodness every week, not just this one. In fact, we believe we offer one of the widest selections of British-grown flowers available throughout the year. Nationwide delivery available.

Q: How many peonies can you fit in the back of a car?

A: More than youā€™d think!

Bride Billi Brand and her fabulous florist, Blooms on Cameron, a family friend who travelled all the way from New Zealand for the wedding, left Evolve HQ with a boot absolutely packed with beautifully British grown peonies.

To be fair, Billi did suggest our peonies might have been on steroids. The little divas certainly know how to demand attention.

That said, whilst the peonies may have tried their best to steal the spotlight, Billi had other ideas and looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day.

It was a pleasure to supply the wedding and thank you to danielgoodyearphotography for capturing both bride and peony so beautifully.

Aprons Chapter 2!!

This is how my brain works ā€¦. Continuous Improvement Mentality

Itā€™s how I run Evolve and my entire life ā€¦. I thought it was because Iā€™d spent 25 years in product developmentā€¦ then I thought it was because of working with Waitrose for 5 years ā€¦.

At 55yrs I thought itā€™s the neurodivergent superpower and finally realised that not everyone thinks like this ā€¦.

So hereā€™s aprons chapter 2
After getting massively frustrated with the tangle that was I reordered the Minimal ( Fresh Linen ) fabric conditioner that had run out ā€¦
I ordered 4 net bags.

Would have been nice not to gone to Amazon but sometimes life gets in the way and a solution needs to be found.

Hereā€™s the result and my low down on aprons !
- saved time -literally zero untangling from the machine or from the bag !!
- ā these are version one of the Evolve Flower School Aprons ā€¦. Printed logos are great but for version 2 I moved to embroidery
- ā cloth ties are normally a massive headache !! Ideally the make the apron and the tie from the same fabric
- ā Dark colours donā€™t show the stains from moss and greenery quite so much !
- ā floral glue and spray paint is a big headache when it gets onto fabric and needs to really well managed with apron wearers !

In celebration of it being Chelsea Flower Show week our recent workshop was all about the show stopping Peonies!

Sharing the peony knowledge ā€¦ every variety is different and they are all having diva personalitiesā€¦ we explored colours and elements and principles of design ā€¦ some beautiful jug fulls !

All attendees left with a stunning foam free arrangement and a wonderful keepsake Adnams stoneware jug to continue creating stunning displays at home for years to come.

We still have places left for this Sundayā€™s Peonies workshop - not to be missed and youā€™ll take home a stunning arrangem...
