It's Top Tip Tuesday! 💥💥
As the cold weather grips us in St Andrews, our rackets and string beds are feeling shivery too! 🥶 Colder temperatures will make your strings feel stiff and unresponsive. There are varying ideas on how to mitigate this, from lowering tension to choosing softer strings. However, these have proven generally inconsistent.
Above all, the most effective way to deal with the icy cold is to store your rackets at a regulated temperature, just like you would yourself! Avoid storing them in car trunks, shed or garages whilst the outside temperatures have plummeted. Instead keep them warm and cosy in your room, just like we do with your rackets here at Ordinal 😉
