With Christmas now a distant memory, we’re turning our focus back to Boutiquey Timeless - our collection of original mid-century pieces.

“Timeless” is where our passion truly sits, so it was a pleasure to see several beautiful arrivals come into the workshop last week.

The much-loved Ercol Model 467 sideboard has returned (a personal favourite of mine, alongside the classic 203 chairs). We’ve also welcomed Pebble tables - a design I had long admired but never seen in person. They are every bit as beautiful as I hoped.

Perhaps most exciting is the rare Model 330 drinks cabinet, produced for a short period between 1955–56. A striking early example, beautifully proportioned, with elegant tapered legs that give it a timeless mid-century presence

Each will move through the workshop in due course, and we’ll share further details and close-ups as they progress.

A pair of original Ercol 203 chairs in blonde finish.

These haven't yet been through our workshop, but already they present as lovely, honest examples. The frames are sturdy with no cracks or breaks, and the webbing remains strong with no slack.

There is some light discolouration to the blonde finish, consistent with age; in our view this adds charm and warmth to pieces that have clearly been well cared for.

The cushions are the originals in a gorgeous heavy textured cotton, almost bouclé in feel. As is typical with vintage upholstery they don't meet modern fire regulations, but we can treat them with a fire-retardant spray. If you'd prefer something new, we're very happy to organise professionally made replacements to your taste, and quoted to suit your specification.

Once they've been through the workshop and completed preparation I'II share detailed close-ups for anyone who would like a closer look.

Valentine’s Day feels like the perfect day to make it official 🤍

After opening Boutiquey quietly in October, on 14th February we celebrate our Official Opening - with shopping from 1pm, a few bubbles and snacks, and the Mayor cutting the ribbon at 4pm.

I feel incredibly grateful to be sharing the day alongside Zee Hair & Beauty Lounge. Her father was such a long-established part of St Neots, and I know this reopening will mean a lot to many in the town. Zee and I shared many of those early years growing up here, which makes it all the more special.

Come along and support two St Neots girls - we’d love to celebrate it with you alongside our families.

We also offer appointments outside hours and online shopping for local same-day or nationwide standard delivery. Our Story

In truth this journey all started in 2003 when our first baby Euan was born and I really got to know about Bugaboo and had my eyes opened to the huge expanse of baby (and then childrens) products that were available. By the time Leo (born 2006) and Seb (born in 2009) had outgrown the confines of our beloved Bugaboo Cameleon I was well versed in what was good, what was necessary and what was, being honest, a bit of a waste of money! Like many Bugaboo owners I had been told that the resale value would be excellent; so pictures taken, descriptions written, I was ready to eBay my beautiful pushchair. True to form we got plenty of interest and after a little bit of late night eBay-stalking I realised that the people bidding, watching and asking questions were not new parents looking for a bargain, they were people who would service, repair and clean up second hand Bugaboo's and sell them on. From here (as you can imagine) an idea was formed.

So in 2011 I started BabyBeSmart Bugaboo Pre Loved Pushchairs and Accessories - selling outstanding examples of second-hand Bugaboo pushchairs, the Cameleon, the Donkey and the Bee Plus, to customers nationwide. To this day we pride ourselves on being Bugaboo specialists, although now our focus is predominantly on very shiney new ones.

In 2013 we opened our first shop BabyBe: based in St. Neots town centre, Cambridgeshire. A quirky boutique in which we brought to St. Neots and the surrounding areas, a niche range of beautiful products, all hand-picked for our customers, from 'Parent - to - Parent' aiming to fulfill every new Mums wish list.

After three very successful years in St. Neots we decided we needed a bit more space and most importantly onsite car parking to allow us to do the all important 'boot test' with new parents. In July 2016 we opened BabyBe: in Offord Darcy, Cambridgeshire a few miles from our original site but with the space and facilities we needed to offer a complete new parent service.
