SPECIAL NEWS.....

I wanted to share a very special health and business update with you all! 🎉
Recently, I had to take a step back to undergo a significant operation. It was a very challenging time, including spending over a week in critical care.
However, today I received the official all-clear from my medical team, with no further treatments required! 🙌
To allow me to build my strength back up, I will soon be starting a phased return to the shop.

Which is ashame as im a resident in Sandon and own and run the actual village shop.

Press Release – Bloor Homes new development name – Sandon Gate – 18.11.2025

Sandon and Burston Parish Council have been advised that “Sandon Gate” is the new name for the Bloor Homes Beaconside housing development in Stafford.

The Councillors have advised Bloor Homes that the development is with Hopton Parish, not Sandon. The Parish Council have asked them to rethink the name of the development before they create all their marketing materials, because it will cause confusion, with people driving up and down the B5066 to find “Sandon Gate” development. (Can you picture the cars making a U-turn at the Dog and Doublet junction!)

The Parish Council would urge anyone who objects to the naming of the development to please contact the Bloor Homes Communication Company and ask them to rethink the name. [email protected]
