MEET THE TEAM – SALES TEAM (Part 1) 🚴♂️🏃♂️
We pride ourselves on having one of the most experienced teams in the business, but you might not realise just how much knowledge and experience we have under one roof!
So, we thought it was about time we introduced you to the people behind Run & Ride, starting with our sales team.
👋 GARY – Store Manager
Gary’s been in the cycle trade for an impressive 25 years, starting his career at Pearce Cycles down in Ludlow.
Over the years, he’s worked with brands big and small, been involved in countless events and seen the industry change dramatically.
He’s no stranger to riding a bike either! A former 2nd Cat road racer and Expert-level XC mountain biker, Gary knows a thing or two about turning the pedals. He’s pretty handy on foot too, capable of knocking out a 40-minute 10km with very little training!
Away from bikes, football is his other passion. He’s even earned himself the nickname “The Ted Lasso of Market Drayton”, coaching a local U13s team. ⚽
Between them, Gary and Marc have 50 years of experience in the cycle industry! Not bad for a couple of lads working on the shop floor. 😉

👋 MARC – Store Supervisor
Much like Gary, Marc started in the cycle trade at a young age and is now in his 25th year!
Having worked in several local bike shops around North Staffordshire, Marc quickly found his passion for the mechanical side of cycling.
That passion took him a long way, going on to become Head MTB Mechanic for British Cycling and Scottish Cycling, as well as working with the Madison Genesis professional road team.
He’s travelled to some of the biggest events in cycling, working across pretty much every discipline along the way.
After years on the spanners, Marc fancied a change and joined Run & Ride working front of house. That said, we still drag him into the workshop when things get busy, to cover holidays or simply to pick his brains!
Outside of work, Marc loves trail building, although that’s taken a bit of a back seat recently thanks to the arrival of his daughter, Wren, who’s now six mo
