⚠️ Litter, BBQs & Fires — An Important Reminder

With the continued dry weather, we'd like to remind everyone of two important rules when visiting the fishery.

🔥 No BBQs or fires of any kind

This applies across the fishery. With the ground and surrounding vegetation currently extremely dry, the fire risk is simply too high.

🗑️ Please take your litter home

The overwhelming majority of anglers leave their swims exactly as they found them, and we're very grateful for that. Unfortunately, we are still finding litter left behind on occasions.

Baden Hall is a beautiful place to fish and we want to keep it that way. Please take everything you bring with you away again — including line, packaging, bottles, cans and food waste.

These aren't difficult rules, but they are important ones.

Enjoy the fishing. Respect the fishery. Leave your swim as you found it.

A fantastic result for Josh on Quarry, landing this cracking 38lb 3oz common from Peg 13 and setting himself a new personal best! 👏🐟

Fishing at long range over a big bed of bait, Josh presented DNA pop-ups on a Stiff Hinge Rig — and the approach produced a fish he'll certainly remember.

Another superb Quarry common and another PB added to the catch reports. Congratulations Josh! 🎣

A cracking 36lb 8oz mirror for Jackson from Peg 9 on Quarry, caught on 30th July. 👏🐟

Jackson kept things simple with a standard carp rig and yellow pop-up doing the business.

Another quality Quarry carp and a great fish to add to the recent run of catches coming through from the lake.

A very special catch from Baylee-Blu, who joined us with her dad for a birthday fishing trip on our runs waters.

And what better birthday present than her very first carp! 🐟

At 9lb, it's also Baylee-Blu's first PB — hopefully the first of many as she continues fishing. 👏🎣

There are some catches where the weight really doesn't matter. Your first carp is one you'll always remember.

A cracking 38lb carp for David from Glovers, caught on 24th July — and judging by the message that came with it, this one certainly made his session! 👏

“Get in, 38lb! Absolutely buzzing — those are the fish that make this place so special.”

We couldn't put it much better ourselves. Another fantastic Glovers carp and one very happy angler! 🎣

🎣 Back to Staffordshire... and Home with a New PB! 🎣

A brilliant story from a full-lake booking on Glovers last week, with the group enjoying some cracking fish and making a few memories along the way.

Among the captures was this fantastic 42lb common, setting a new PB, along with a stunning 24lb fully scaled mirror. And, of course, the lads made sure we got the group shot too! 📸🎣

What made the report particularly nice was the message that came with it:

“I've been in Essex for over 25 years now, but it was awesome to come back to my home county and have a PB plus a mint UK 40. Happy days.”

That's exactly what sessions like these are about. A lake to yourselves, good company, some beautiful carp and a trip worth remembering.

🎣 Six Carp & One Right at the Death! 🎣

A fantastic few days on Glovers for Rick, who joined us from 29th July through to 2nd August and finished the session with six carp.

The pick of the bunch was a cracking 30lb 4oz carp, backed up by fish of 27lb 2oz, 26lb, 24lb, 23lb and 19lb.

And Glovers wasn't quite finished with him either... that 27lb 2oz came right at the death! 😜🎣

Rick has been fishing with us for a while now, so it was particularly nice to receive this message afterwards:

“I’ve had a fantastic trip on Glovers. The food, facilities and fishing grade A as usual. Big thanks to Dan, Rob and James and the legend that is Dave.”

🎣 Four Fish & Some Proper Glovers Gold! 🔥🎣

A brilliant session for Dan on Glovers, with four carp landed including this cracking 34lb 9oz common and a 24lb 11oz mirror.

The other two were recently stocked fish around the 18lb mark, which Dan quickly slipped back.

It was only his second ever trip to Glovers, having wanted to get back for another go after his first visit — and this time the lake certainly didn't disappoint.

In Dan's words:

“What a lake and fish to match — some proper Glovers gold!!” 🔥🎣

Dan baited with a heavy bed of Purified Particle h**p, fishing small solid bags with Baitworks Pink Induce wafters and Creamino Stick & Bag Mix.

A fantastic four-fish hit and another quality common from Glovers. Thanks for sending everything over Dan — we'll see you again soon! 👏
