Hanover Publications

Hanover Publications This is my Facebook site for all my books. a large percentage of what is earned from selling the books goes towards funding research for future volumes.

I have been researching and writing for the past 30+ years but having had 3 books published by so called reputable publishers and been given the run around over the years, I decided that publishing myself now has to be the way forward. I hope any visitors will help promote my work by liking the new FB page, or even better still by purchasing a book, all grist to a `Poor authors` mill so to speak.

Please forward this page to anyone you think might have an interest in WWII military history, or the RAF Mountain Rescue pioneers. Thanks for visiting. e-mail: [email protected]

For those awaiting Volume 3 of DOWN IN THE HIGHLANDS, here`s a bit of an update. The book is now finished and will be the final volume in the Caithness,Sutherland and Ross & Cromarty areas, though not the last book on the highlands aircraft. This edition includes accounts on 25 aircraft and 42 biographies. Plus a separate appendix on other aircraft that couldn`t be included in the first two books owing to having only sparse information. Running to 210 pages this latest work, though including a few prop driven types such as the Sea Fury, Lancaster, Oxford and Firebrand, mainly deals with jet aircraft of the Cold War and Falklands such as the Sea Hawk, Scimitar, Sea Vampire, Buccaneer, Harrier and F-111. The book was expected to be available around July/August, but due to problems with the printer a new source had to be found and I`m pleased to say all being well the book should be out early November.

UPDATE: 23rd July 2023. Volume 3 of DOWN IN THE HIGHLANDS is now finished, and is the final volume in the Caithness, Sutherland and Ross & Cromarty areas. This edition includes accounts on 25 aircraft and 42 biographies. Plus a separate appendix on other aircraft that couldn`t be included in the first two books owing to a lack of information.

The book was expected to be available around July/August, however, problems with the printer means it will now be later in the year.

The trouble with the printer means some stocks of other books have now either run out or run low and at present there are no copies of : LOST TO THE ISLES Vols 2 & 4 and no copies of DOWN IN THE HIGHLANDS volume 1. Copies of volume 2 of the latter is still available, as are volumes 1 and 3 of LOST TO THE ISLES. Also THE STALYBRIDGE AIRMEN book is in stock.

Whilst trying to find a suitable printer, work shall continue on a new series of aircraft losses in the highlands, dealing with regions covering Inverness, Moray, Banffshire and Argyll. This again is likely to be in three volumes.

Thanks to all who continue to support my work.
