A heads up if you’re planning a visit to the shop this afternoon - for family reasons I’ll be closing at 2.45pm today (Tuesday March 24th) but I’ll be open as usual from 9.30 tomorrow.

So - this arrived in the post this week! In the same envelope was a letter from Alicia Kearns MP, quoting some of the lovely comments that were made about the shop by people who voted for us.

Thank you so much for your support - sometimes it can feel a little lonely being one of so few fabric shops, so it’s really heartwarming to read that we’re appreciated.

It’s Fair Week

So Stamford is full of waltzers, dodgems, candy floss and toffee apples - but not quite as many customers as usual.

I’ve got lots of customer orders to complete, so I’m going to take a couple of days out this week to try to get a few of them finished.

We won’t be open on Tuesday 17th or Thursday 19th March, but will be open as usual on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday,

Officially the best of neighbours - James at Pets Korner dropped everything to help when water started pouring into my shop from a burst pipe in January. I couldn’t be happier that they’ve won an award for being the best pet shop in our area. Brilliant shop with wonderful staff.

So excited to see the wonderful on BBC Breakfast this morning - and with ’sHems as well!

My eldest girl, Cait Findlay, is running the Cambridge Half Marathon on Sunday 8th March to raise funds for this amazing charity - you can support her here:

That’s her giving two thumbs up - she ran a ‘practice’ 16km on Sunday morning and I know how tough it will be to run with thousands of others on the 8th March - please do support her if you’re able!
