A little note on why our flowers may not last as long as the flowers from large supermarkets.
We choose flowers for their scent, movement, colour, variety and character, not just for how many days they can stand in a vase.
Some flowers are developed to be sturdy, uniform and long-lasting. Others are grown to be beautiful, fragrant, unusual or delicate. They cannot always be compared, even within the same flower family.
We are drawn to the interesting ones. The stems that feel alive, seasonal and full of feeling. They are not mass-produced to look the same for weeks.
It is easy to forget that fresh flowers are living things. Their value is not only in how long they last, but in the way they make a room feel while they are here.
Sometimes beauty is brief. That is part of the joy.
