One of our best sellers, this shoulder rest has been used and loved by my daughter and I since before it first came to market (if you want to know how, then come in and chat!). Absolute game changer for me as a player.

Have you found the perfect shoulder rest for you and your instrument?

More than 15 years ago, together with violinist and inventor Berent Korfker, we set out to create a shoulder rest like no other. Made from bendable maple tonewood, our PIRASTRO KorfkerRestĀ® Model 2 offers a truly personalized fit, and with its featherweight of only 32 grams, it has become the gold standard for shoulder rests.

The featherlight design, along with the tone-optimized aluminium and minimal use of rubber, helps your instrument resonate freely and preserves its natural sound characteristics. Over time, the original KorfkerRest, now known as Model 2, has received subtle but noticeable upgrades, keeping it at the cutting edge by taking advantage of the latest developments in materials science.

When your shoulder rest is hardly noticeable and brings out the best sound from your instrument, you can truly lose yourself in the music!

Do you remember this cello that came in a few weeks ago? It had fallen over in its case and the bow wasn’t secured so it went straight into the front. It’s been a team effort between myself, Rachel and Nigel to get this restored so quickly so the cellist can carry on playing. It was particularly challenging as the cello has no purfling, but we got it all back together and reinforced ok and this afternoon I’ve been doing the final retouch.
