Good morning everyone 🙂
I hope you are all well and that you have all had a great bank holiday weekend. I'm sorry this is a long post, but I have an announcement to make.
You might have noticed that this page has become very quiet recently, partly through a lack of direction and partly due to life being very, very busy. For those of you who don't know, at home, there is me, my husband, our two daughters, and also two mischievous kitties. My husband works full time in his day job but he is also a very talented wedding photographer (you can check him out here Herts Wedding Photography)- Covid has left him working all hours recently to accommodate all the postponements from last year and earlier this year.
I always had envisaged there being a period of time when the girls both were in school, which in my mind would be "my time for me". I had ring-fenced this time as being for me to decide where I wanted to go next with employment, work, Usborne, and the books in general. Sadly with Covid, lockdowns, and homeschooling, this time has been sacrificed for the benefit and well-being of our children - that is not at all a complaint, it is simply what all parents have done over the last 18 months or so.
However, it has shown me that although I've given this a good effort, this is ultimately not working for me at the moment. Not to say that I won't come back to the books in the future, mind.
With regards to Usborne and the books, I still love them, I still recommend them to anyone and everyone, but I have come to the conclusion that whilst working as an Usborne Organiser, I will never truly have the full independence that I have craved for so long. There are other reasons, of course, as to why I feel the time is right to part ways with Usborne Books, but those are my own.
Whilst I will no longer have an account with Usborne from midnight on 31st August, I do have plenty of personal stock which I will be looking to sell on, so do keep an eye out for this.
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank each and every one of you, from the bottom of my heart, for the love, support and kindness you have shown not only to me but also to my small business over the last 5 years. I am sad that this has come to an end for now, but it will allow me to focus completely on my other self-employment at Cat Sitting Stevenage.
