Siobhan and Greg sent me a sneak peak from their gallery and I couldn’t wait to share it with you all 😍 Rafe Abrook - Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer captured it incredibly ♥️

They chose a scallop effect cake with the most perfect dainty florals from Amelie Floral Design in blues and whites. They sent me such lovely words as well, they said :-

“Thank you so, so much for the cake - we couldn’t believe it when we saw it. So beautiful! Everyone said how delicious it was, and we have saved the top layer for our first anniversary!!”

Let’s talk about it, The dessert table.
You get the cake, obviously. But then you get all the little extras that people can actually grab, try, go back for another one and pretend they’re “just checking if they’re nice” when they’re actually on their fourth ♥️
I love that it gives you a bit more freedom too. You don’t have to choose between having a beautiful wedding cake and having ALL the good stuff. Cake. Brownies. Cookies. Whatever you fancy.
Basically, my favourite kind of wedding table is one that makes people immediately think:
“Right. I need to go over there.”

There are SO many things couples want to ask their cake maker but don’t because they think they’re being awkward, cheeky or “should probably know this already”

You don’t need to know all the answers before you book your cake. That’s literally what your cake maker is there for

Ask me the weird one. The money one. The one you think you should know. The one you’ve been Googling at 11pm and still don’t understand

I’d much rather you asked than sat there quietly wondering if you’re about to spend a lot of on something you didn’t actually need

Louise + Brendan knew exactly what they wanted and how important it was to get that bright pink colour to match their florals to tie their cake into their big day, so that’s what we did 🍰✨

Anyone can be judged on how a cake looks or tastes but being sent these messages, that’s something else entirely 😍 I will forever work really hard to make sure everyone else feels looked after from the very first message to the moment their cake is delivered.

Honestly, it wasn’t planned, I had no idea what I was gonna do with my life but I never thought it would be cake related.

It started because I couldn’t eat cake anymore, free from cake didn’t taste anything like cake. And my brain went I wonder if you can do better and then like most things I took it way too far. And nearly 10 years later here we are.
