Time spent sitting on the bench is never wasted.

It's where we reflect, have some wonderful conversations and hear all sorts of stories.

We order stock, we reply to e-mails, we plan.

Some of the people we've met whilst sitting on the bench have become friends and some have just been passing by.

Sitting on the bench gives our customers time to look in our shop properly and often they come out with a bunch of goodies that they've found 💫

Bench life through the summer was hot and so, as we notice the change in the seasons, it's exciting to see what
bench life will bring 🌻.

Our little shop (and the bench) are based in Cobblestone Walk in Steyning and don't forget we are online too 🙌🏼.

Life can be busy, time moves fast and we are all often processing many things.

I have always used writing and journaling as a support. Whether this is a 'to do' list or a full rant on paper! It's surprising, when you reflect back on your journalling how answers can find their way to you.

The beautiful journals that we are stocking this Autumn give us the opportunity to jot things down 'on the go' or are a great companion on a weekend away or flight. They also all come with a pen ! And of course, they make a great gift 💫

We are also offering them as part of our 'create a gift box' so you can give a loved one the gift of writing ❤️

As visitors walk past our shop we hear many comments ( good and bad!) but very few would know the love and passion that goes into making it sparkle ✨ as it does.

It literally is a little tardis of goodies 💫

We are really looking forward to introducing in to the shop lots of new gift and self-care ideas for Autumn 🍂 🍁. More to come on this soon 🙌🏼.

We love all seasons here at Very Betty, but the transition from Summer to Autumn feels poignant. The memories of summer holidays are still fresh but the need to get organised is pending!

It felt like the perfect time for us to re-introduce ourselves and say Hello.

We've had the real pleasure of meeting many of you at our shop in Cobblestone Walk in Steyning. Thank you !

What many of you won't realise is we have a great online shop too ! Many of the products you find in-store are available there.

The real excitement for us moving into Autumn is the focus on gift boxing. What a beautiful way to send someone you love a hug or a treat for yourself ❤️.

We are open all bank holiday weekend at our shop in Cobblestone Walk, Steyning, so do pop by and say hello if you are out and about 🙌🏼

What makes a business special? 🤔

The products /services are the obvious answer, but what about the small business founders who have a dream and passion and want to share this. Is it too far fetched to think that in this slightly crazy world there are still people who want to share their path with others ? We don't believe so ✨

At Very Betty we want to have personality, we don't want beige, and we definitely know a good ice cream when we see one!

As we all navigate the challenges of life, if we feel we can support in any way, big or small then that's a win for us 🙌🏼

Moving in to Autumn 🍁 we at Very Betty will be focusing as always on our little shop in Steyning but also pivoting towards care and self-care packages that can be posted directly to yourself or a loved one. We are very excited about this 😍🎁.
