🚴‍♂️ BBBR… or Broughton Belgian Bike Ride Training Update! 😄

Hello Friends
Paul and I have today completed our training for the Help for Heroes Big Battlefield Bike Ride.
A 4-day 250-mile bike ride commemorating the 110th Anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. The route covers the battlefields and Cemeteries of Northen France from Ypres to Thiepval.

Our training has taken us around Andover, Stockbridge, Broughton and beyond — with one essential stop every time… ☕🥐 Here at the fabulous Broughton Community Shop.
A Massive thanks to Emma and the team at Broughton Community Shop for the coffees, buns, and amazing support — especially promoting our challenge and helping us raise awareness of this great cause, they really are a credit to your community.

Now a big Thank You to those who have already sponsored us. If you see us in the shop, please say hello we would love to thank you personally. So far, we have raised over £1500!

It’s not too late so if you’d like to support us and this brilliant cause, we really would appreciate it. As this is a joint venture, please share your generosity between us both. Giving a little to each of our Just Giving Links would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Good People of Broughton.
Firstly, let us introduce ourselves. We are Dean Collyer and Paul North, both retired from Andover.
For 4 days starting 24th of June we are cycling 250 miles around the First World War Battlefields of Belgium and France to raise money and awareness for Help for Heroes.
Our ride starts at Ypres and ends at The Somme. The official tittle of the ride is
The Big Battlefield Bike Ride or BBBR for short.
We are self-funding the trip so paying personally for travel, accommodation and food so every penny raised will go to help our ex-service men and Women that need it.
The reason we are asking the lovely people of Broughton to support us is that we feel a tiny bit a part of the Broughton Community, in that every week for the last year we have visited the community shop and bought our coffee and most importantly a Belgium Bun to fuel our training rides. In face we think that BBBR really stands for Broughton Belgium Bun Ride.
If you could spare us a few coppers from your pocket money to support us in raising funds we would be most grateful.
We have put a link to our respective Just Giving Pages below.
One more favor, if you do wish to support us could you please donate half to each of us.
Thank you very much for reading this long post.
Kind Regards
Paul and Dean
