June studio moments

The warmest I have ever been 🫠🫠🫠

Just a reminder that I offer lessons in my Stockport studio for anyone who’d like to come and throw some cute little pots with me ☺️

Classes are for one or two people, so you get my undivided attention throughout the class. Any pots you choose to keep will be trimmed and fired by me, and there is also the option to add on a bottle of fizz if you’d like to make it a more relaxed lesson 🍾

Link to book in bio. Hope to see you in my studio soon!

The journey continues. I still have no idea what I’m doing

But I’m taking on board every comment, message and suggestion to try and fix this business in the next 6 months

Platters now available on a made to order basis

I’ve had so many requests for these over the last few days, it seemed like a sensible idea to open up the store on a made to order basis. Link to shop in bio ☺️

Thank you all so much for your support!

I’ve had a lot of comments from people saying there isn’t enough if my work on my page, and as silly as it might sound, it’s not something I’d even really considered

As a maker, you can really get yourself stuck in wanting to show work only when it’s perfect - that’s the case for me anyway. I only want to post pictures of my very best pots, with the very best camera and lighting and set up I can muster. But I think I need to leave that mentality behind.

So here’s a little snap of the porcelain mugs I’ve been working on recently, basking in the sun.

It has been quite the weekend

is the first fair I’ve done at this scale, and I was absolutely blown away by the level of organisation and promo that went into the event. The team behind it are so passionate, and so lovely

My biggest take away from the weekend was the pure joy of being with other ceramicists. We all care so much, we work so hard to bring our vision of this frustrating, unforgiving, beautiful medium to life. Clay has so much potential, and that was shown in the vast variety of work on display. I met so many lovely people, so if you came to chat with me as a fellow potter or as a patron, thank you ♥️ thank you SO much

Last night was my very first seconds sale, and I’d like to thank everyone who messaged me or bought something 🥰 your support was amazing

This sale kicked off the new year, and marked a change in na-be. This year, I want to fully embrace porcelain and really focus on the form and finish of my pieces. I want to start making one off pieces rather than production throwing, to really challenge my creativity and experiment with new ideas that I can follow through with until I’m completely happy with them.

As I result, I’ll be doing fewer markets this year, but I’m also going to be trying to get my new collection displayed somewhere. I’m not sure where yet, but I’ll be keeping you posted

Frustratingly I can get stared on any of this until my wheel is repaired. It has to go all the way to Germany to be looked at by Rhode, so I’m unlikely to get it back before the end of January. On the bright side, that gives me lots of time for admin bits, but more excitingly planning my new collection. I have so many ideas that I can’t wait to share with you all
