It's Foodie Friday today and it seems an appropriate time to share this excellent performance from Darragh Cowley, who became friends with Martyn Hett when they were both waiting for the 192 bus to take them home.

Darragh, who is now a successful actor, was so moved by Martyn's tragic passing that he wrote this poem to convey the story of how they met and became good friends.

To commemorate the 9th anniversary of the Manchester Arena attack that took 22 lives and injured many more, Darragh has made this film which is so very beautifully done. He shot the film in Heaton Moor, the location of Martyn's family home.

We hope you can join us over the Bank Holiday weekend when Stockport Music Story will be at Platform 0 at Stockport Station with the amazing Railway200 Inspiration Train! 🚆

If you’re already coming, we’ll be on Platform 0, giving free Stockport Music Story tours of the Art in the Underpass exhibition throughout each day taking in the wonderful plaque commemorating when David Bowie slept the night on Stockport station.

We’ve also lined up some free art activities with Earl, 10am-4pm each day 🎨 with free portraits from the amazing Emily Flanagan 11am-4pm on Sunday! ✍️

We’ve got some great live music each day 12-3pm - Callum Buckley on Saturday, Liam McClair on Sunday and Sophia Basso on Monday.

Our special guest on Bank Holiday Monday is the Hitman himself, the multimillion-selling record producer and train enthusiast Pete Waterman who will be joining John on a walking tour and chatting to people on the Inspiration train! 🚂

The Inspiration Railway 200 Exhibition Train comes to Platform Zero at Stockport station on Friday 1st May to Wednesday 6th May.

You can book free tickets to jump aboard and discover lots of amazing things about the railway and take part in great interactive activities. Watch this short video to find out what's on board.

On Saturday 2nd, Sunday 3rd and Bank Holiday Monday 4th May there's going to be lots going on at the station including free walking tours in the Station Underpass from Stockport Music Story, live entertainment and free activities.
