English editions of these Lightning Archives favourites are up for pre order now on our site. These are absolute beauts, the attention to detail, the photography and the range of the historical collections contained within is quite something.
Delivery is due some time in November (they make these to order) and we appreciate any and all pre orders to give us an idea of numbers and also to basically help bankroll the whole thing too. Thanks!

*No we don’t hold colonial or imperialistic views or think this is funny or indeed even think that GDP is a good way of measuring the true wealth of a country. Clearly the best way to do that is to have a census of how many books and magazines each citizen owns.

So, we’re still here and open and ready to sell you loads of books and magazines, but the lighting is decidedly mood based and the payments are very much 4G-based. Bring torches if you’re browsing at the back or the shop.
Positives to take from this -

1: a realisation that books and magazines are the ultimate future proof off grid technology
2: Electricity North West thought ahead and branded themselves with the same blue as us
3: struggling now, because it’s lunch time

As usual we will be receiving the new Popeye soon, and you can make sure you get a copy by using our handy pre order service.
Issue 954 covers the outlets of London, lots of treats in here, and for our UK customers a little more accessible and casually useful than the often far flung guides Popeye puts together. There’s some gold in here - charity shops, flower markets, book shops, vintage, Margaret Howell, Drake’s, Westminster Menswear Archive, the best of British goods and cherished collections from across the capital.

Oh it’s one of those posts with the shop front looking all blue as it tends to. You’ll notice in addition to the usual jasminoids we’ve also gained a charming little patch of green on the right hand side of the shop as you’re seeing it now (next to the cone). What will it become?
