Evening everyone.
☀️🌸 A little hot-weather flower advice from your florist…
We love a bit of sunshine, but fresh flowers? Not quite so much! 😅
When temperatures soar, please expect a slightly shorter vase life from your blooms. Flowers are a natural, perishable product and, just like the flowers in our gardens, extreme heat affects them too.
💧 Top up water DAILY — they’ll be extra thirsty!
✂️ Re-cut stems and refresh the water regularly
☀️ Keep away from direct sunlight
🪟 Avoid hot windowsills and conservatories
🌿 Keep them in the coolest room you can
We carefully condition and prepare every stem before it leaves us, but unfortunately even florists can’t control a heatwave! 😂🌡️
So during really hot spells, lower those vase-life expectations just a little, keep them cool and watered, and simply enjoy them while they’re blooming beautifully. 🌸💕
Remember though, Fresh flowers bring so much more than beauty to a room, they lift our mood, bring a little piece of nature indoors and have a wonderful way of making people feel thought of, loved and cared for. 🌸💗
