šŸŒ¾ Blessed Lammas šŸŒ¾
As the Wheel of the Year turns, we welcome Lammas, the first harvestā€”a reminder that change is a natural and necessary part of life's journey. The seasons teach us that every ending gives rise to a new beginning, and every harvest reflects the care, patience, and hope we've invested along the way.
Today I'll be celebrating simply: enjoying home-baked treats, reconnecting with nature, visiting one of my sacred places, and seeing the world through the curious eyes of my son. Most of all, I'll be cherishing precious time with my husband and son, while holding space in my heart for those family members and loved ones I wish could be with us more often.
May this season inspire us all to appreciate the blessings we have today, while looking forward with hope to the moments still to come.

Wetfelted pouch bag
Made using wetfelting technique with merino tops, bluefaced leicester, and sari silk fibres.
Took some figuring out for shrinkage but got there in the end!
This is a gift for my dad, complete with nice broad crossover body strap for keeping his phone safe but still accessible while out on his mobility scooter.

After a much longer than intended break, finally got some fluff out in the sunshine. Felting outside is tricky, but today no wind, just sun, and slow slow slow felting process, with the occasional supersoaker attack from my little boy!
The poppy flower signifies peaceful dreams, remembrance, death and rebirth, love and hope.

I have had to take an unexpected break away from felting, having had a small operation which has limited my range of movement in my arm and has been quite uncomfortable. Please have patience with me while I recover. I am hoping to be back at it soon, with an exciting animal portrait to complete and some plans for poppies and roses šŸ˜Š

Due to financial climate, I have had to remove the online store function of my website to ensure I can put any money from sales directly into fluff stuff. The maths isn't mathing for my website. My website still exists and will remain, but this means my little presence here is now more important for any commission requests or ad-hoc purchases.
I don't operate as a turnover/profit business, it pays its way. Unfortunately due to my extra commitments and reduction in craft fairs and time to actually make stuff, it just isnt viable for my website to be my biggest outlay.
Please do reach out on here or messenger if I can make a special gift or art piece for you, I am still here and orders always take priority in my fluff time šŸ˜Š

Made with 3 layers of fibres as one piece, stitching is merely decorative as the felting process was done on a fully enclosed resist.
Lots of rolling rolling rolling to get it to shrink to the perfect fit, several hours work resulting in aching shoulders today šŸ˜…
Outer decorative layer is from a beautiful art batt from Tregaver Fibre which works well withbthe bright pink merino inner layer for a bit of contrast.

Presenting my latest creation - inspired by kintsugi and the journey of personal growth and healing.

A softly felted bowlā€”its surface warm, shaped slowly by hand, holding the quiet evidence of time and touch.

Along its form, there isnā€™t just one kind of healing. Some of it has happened naturally. The wool has gently fused together in places, almost invisiblyā€”fibers joining and connecting, through warmth, and patience. These are the kinds of healing we donā€™t force: the slow easing of pain with time, the way the body and heart instinctively try to mend themselves. Itā€™s subtle, embedded into the vessel itself, part of its structure now.

But then there are the other placesā€”the ones that didnā€™t close on their own.Those are assisted with golden stitching. Not accidental, not passive, but chosen. Each golden thread deliberately stitched, visible, unhidden. The kind of healing that are echoed in one of my favourite songs - Let Love In by Goo Goo Dollsā€”the kind that asks something of you. The kind that says: stay open, even when every instinct is to close. Because letting love in again isnā€™t automatic. Itā€™s a conscious, often difficult decision.

So the bowl holds both truths at once:
The quiet, natural repairā€”the healing that happens in the background, without effort, reminding you that you are built to recover.
The golden stitchesā€”the intentional acts of courage, where you choose to face the break, to tend to it, and to be seen in it.

Together, they tell a fuller story of wellbeing.
Not all healing is soft.
Not all of it is chosen.
But the most transformative moments often are.

And just like the bowl, you donā€™t have to hide either version.

The unseen mending gives you strength.
The visible gold gives you voice.
