STAR BUY - Death Race, Collectors Edition Steelbook. Sealed.

For those that don't know, a Steelbook is a limited print that comes in a metal case, usually with artwork specific to that set, and often with exclusive inserts. But, as this is sealed, and likely to stay that way, we will never know what's inside lol

Old price: 16.99
Bargain Find at £2.20!!

Here I will be posting some of the more interesting DVD's I have in my collection. Expect 'Special' and 'Collectors' editions, multiple disc sets, coloured discs and anything else than stands out as interesting.

Showcase - Love Actually, M&S Gift Box Edition

Picked this up the other day as I was attracted to the case. Turns out it's a Mark's and Spencer Presentation Gift Box Edition, and it's set up and art style of a gift to unwrap.

Not many special features on the disc, but then it's not billed as such so can't complain.

I like -

The art style is nice, the case is quality and robust.

Could have been better -

The postcards. Though I love postcards in sets, the art on these is very basic.

Overall,
Nice case and idea, bonus content and cards. An OK set for a none special ed disc.

Nice trawl today, nothing amazing, but some OK finds. Boyz in the Hood is still sealed, and the Love Actually has the postcards, probably the best two buys of the lot

Showcase - Pulp Fiction, 2 Disc Collector's Edition

If you find this with all the inserts, its a great box set. There is a lot going on with it. Inside we've got the usual 2 discs - one with the feature film, and the other will a LOAD of extras. There is also and insert advertisement for a soundtrack CD, 4 picture cards, and a booklet.

I like -
*the slipcase and the fold out, it feels like opening up a present!
*the art style, look and feel. By keeping it 'roughed up', its going to hide any real damage that may incur over the years.
* the Bonus disc. It is packed with a LOT of extra stuff, probably one of the most generous I've seen. Deleted scenes, adverts, interviews and features, a ton of photos, and even a mini documentary (and that's just some of the extras!)

Could have been better -
*the booklet. It's only 3 pages. It feels to me like they put 95% of the extras on the second disc, and kept a minimum of reading for the booklet.
*the cards. They are fine, they are nice, but they are brown cardboard. Brown cardboard always reminds me of breakfast cereal packets! Postcards would have been better.

Overall,
It's a great set! One of the best for features and extras.

Being a total geek, I've even got a collection of booklets and inserts. These are all my spares, and just booklets (not advertising inserts, or scene selection sheets).

As soon as I sorted them and list them properly my spares will be up for sale.

I'll feature my own collection sometime in the near future!
