A little behind-the-scenes look at me hand-painting the final details on my handcrafted pumpkin candle pots. Every pot is cast, sanded, sealed and finished by me here in the North East UK before being filled with a beautifully scented soy wax candle.

There has been so much interest in the Halloween Cauldron Candle Pots—I’ve had more than five people ask whether I can save one for them, but I’ve only handmade five cauldrons in total!

Just to make everything completely clear: asking about a pot or saying you’d like one does not reserve it.

I’ve held handmade pots for people in the past and unfortunately been let down, leaving me with stock that wasn’t listed at launch and then didn’t sell. As a tiny handmade business, I can’t risk doing that again.

Therefore, the only way to secure a Cauldron or Pumpkin Candle Pot before tonight’s launch is to DM me and arrange payment. A pot is only reserved once payment has been received—no payment, no hold 🤎

Any pots not paid for beforehand will be available on the website at 6pm tonight, on a first-come, first-served basis.

🎃 Today is a productive handmade Halloween making day! 🖤

I’m painting my Pumpkin Candle Pots, sealing my Cauldron Candle Pots and pouring plenty of handmade wax melts—basically keeping my hands and my mind as busy as possible ahead of tomorrow’s launch.

My mam’s ashes came home today.

It’s incredibly difficult to put that feeling into words, but I’m glad she’s home. It feels right to have her here with us, where she belongs 🤍

Grief has a way of arriving in waves, and today I’m choosing to focus on making and being productive—not because I’m ignoring how I feel, but because creating gives my mind somewhere safe to go. It helps me stay steady when everything could so easily become overwhelming.

So today there will be paint, eco resin, fragrance, wax and probably a fair amount of organised chaos as I finish these handmade pumpkins, cauldrons and wax melts ready for you all.

I know my mam would want me to keep going. She was so proud of what I created and everything I was building.

I’m not sinking. I’m going to thrive. 🤎

Handcrafted from water-based eco resin, finished with a gorgeous bronze stalk and filled with a hand-poured Pumpkin Spice soy wax candle—because it simply couldn’t be anything else! Warm, spicy and made for cosy autumn evenings 🍂

🖤 Cauldron Candle Pot

A handcrafted black eco-resin cauldron, finished with magical gold or bronze highlights and filled with a Peachy Potions soy wax candle—a fruity little potion perfect for spooky season ✨

Every pumpkin and cauldron is individually cast, sanded, sealed and hand-finished by me. Once the candle has been enjoyed, the lidded pot can be cleaned and reused as a gorgeous piece of Halloween décor.

Five pumpkins. Five cauldrons. No restocks planned.

🎃 Handmade Halloween Pumpkin and Cauldron Candle Pots are officially on the making table! 🖤

Today I’m handcrafting the newest additions to my Halloween collection: handmade Pumpkin Candle Pots and Halloween Cauldron Candle Pots, created from water-based eco resin and made entirely by me.

Every handcrafted Halloween pot begins here. I mix and pour the eco resin by hand, carefully demould each pumpkin and cauldron, then sand, seal and hand-finish every detail before filling it with a hand-poured soy wax candle 🕯️

I want to bring this page back to what it has always been about—making, creating and sharing the real handmade process with you. From the messy workbench and chaotic-looking moulds to the finished pumpkin and cauldron candle pots, you’ll be seeing much more of how everything is made behind the scenes.

There’s so much work hidden inside every handmade candle pot, and that’s exactly what makes each one special. These aren’t mass-produced Halloween decorations; they’re individually handcrafted pieces of autumn and Halloween home décor, designed to be enjoyed long after the candle has finished 🤎

The pumpkins and cauldrons are beginning to take shape, and I can’t wait to show you the colours, hand-painted details and finished Halloween candles! ✨

Since 2021, Wilks Candle Creations has grown alongside me.

What started with candles and home fragrance became handmade vessels, new skills, new ideas and a business I’ve poured a huge part of myself into.

And somewhere along the way, I realised something…

I don’t just love making candles. I love making.

I love illustrating. Designing stickers. Binding journals. Working with eco resin. Experimenting with new techniques and following an idea just to see where it takes me.

This year has changed a lot for me personally, and it’s made me look differently at what I want from both life and business.

I don’t want creativity to be the thing I squeeze in when everything else is finished.

I want it to be at the heart of what I do.

So nothing you already love is disappearing.

The candles are staying.
The wax melts are staying.
The home fragrance is staying.
And yes… the handmade candle pots are DEFINITELY staying. 😂

I’m simply giving myself space to explore what else this little business can become — slowly, properly, and without rushing new products before I’m happy with them.

Wilks is still Wilks.

It just needed a name that could hold everything I want to create next.

Over the next week, you’ll start to see the change happening properly across the business. My business name, logo, social graphics and website will all gradually be updated to Wilks Studio, so things may look a little mixed while I work my way through everything behind the scenes.

The business is operating completely as normal throughout. Orders, products and everything you already know are still here — they’ll just slowly start appearing in their new Wilks Studio home. 🤍

And as I learn, practise and perfect new techniques, there’ll be plenty more creative things joining them in the future.

A little heads-up… things are going to start looking a bit different around here this week. 👀🤍

After lots of thinking, planning, scribbling ideas down and probably changing my mind approximately 847 times 😂, I’m finally ready to start putting the changes I’ve been talking about into place.

And this afternoon, I’ll finally be introducing you to the next chapter of Wilks. 🥹🌿✨

Then throughout this week, you’ll start to notice things changing across my socials and website as I update the business name, logo, branding and graphics to reflect where Wilks is heading next.

So if you spot an old logo here, a new graphic there or things look slightly mismatched for a few days… no, I haven’t completely lost the plot. 😂 I’m doing it all myself behind the scenes while still running the business as normal.

And that’s the important bit…

Everything is still operating as normal. 🤍

My website is open.
Orders are still being made and dispatched.
My candles, wax melts, room sprays, diffusers and handmade candle pots are all staying.

Nothing you already know and love about Wilks is being taken away.

I’m simply making room for more.

More illustration. More stickers. More paper goods. More handbound journals. More handmade homeware. More experimenting, learning and following wherever my creativity decides to take me next. ✏️📖🕯️

And those things aren’t all going to suddenly appear overnight.

I want to give myself the time to learn, practise and perfect my techniques before introducing new products. If I’m going to put the Wilks name on something, I want to be genuinely proud of what I’m sending out into the world.

That’s a huge part of why I’m making these changes.

I want a business that gives me room to create rather than constantly trying to squeeze everything I love into one little box.

So this morning, it’s business as usual…

But this afternoon, I’ll finally introduce you properly to what comes next. 🥹🤍

And bloody hell, I’m excited.

Nine of these little autumn acorns have now found their homes, and I honestly can’t thank you enough. Every single order has meant more to me than you could possibly know 🤎

The final pot is listed on the website in Hot Toddy, but if you’d prefer another fragrance, simply add your request to the order notes or send me a DM after ordering—I’m happy to customise it for you 🕯️

While the last acorn waits to be claimed, my making table is already getting a little more magical…

There’s plenty of casting, sanding, painting and testing happening behind the scenes, and I’m so excited to show you everything I’m creating for the next part of autumn!
