🏡 I’ve gone a little quiet… but I promise I haven’t disappeared!

The last few days I’ve been completely absorbed in moving house, and wow… why does moving always feel like you’ve been doing it for approximately 84 years? 😂📦

It’s definitely slow going, especially trying to juggle family life, Wilks and figuring out where on earth everything we own is supposed to live, but we’re getting there!

I’m hoping one more week and we’ll finally be properly moved in, organised and able to breathe again. 🤞🏻

Wilks is still ticking away amongst the boxes though, and I currently have just 4 of my August Wildflower Meadow Candle Pots left looking for their new homes. 🌸

Each one is completely handmade and hand painted by me, filled with beautifully fragranced soy wax and designed to be reused long after your candle has finished.

They’re £20 each and once these final four are gone, Wildflower Meadow is officially complete.

And then… 👀

Hopefully once I’ve conquered Mount Cardboard Box and got my new home workspace set up, I can finally get stuck into September’s Limited Edition Pot! 🍂

I am SO ready to get my maker hat back on. I’ve missed properly creating while all this chaos has been happening.

Tomorrow, another little batch of my August Limited Edition candle pots will be packed up and heading off to their new homes, and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has ordered one. 🩷

With everything happening behind the scenes lately, from moving the studio home to now moving our actual home too 😂, every single order genuinely means so much.

And if you’ve been admiring them but haven’t treated yourself yet…

There are just 5 Wildflower Meadow pots left on the website!

Each one has been completely handmade by me, individually hand painted with all those tiny wildflower, vine and butterfly details, before being filled with beautifully fragranced soy wax.

💜 Sleepy – a gorgeous lavender & tonka fragrance inspired by the much-loved Lush scent.

🏡📦 Moving house… but apparently we’ve chosen hard mode. 😂

Today’s setup looks a little something like this…

My car is currently packed FULL of stuff and I’m at the new house unloading.

Craig is back at the current house looking after our youngest, because obviously our little baba still needs one of us there with her.

There’s just one tiny flaw in this operation…

Craig doesn’t drive. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

So while he holds down the fort and looks after her, I am officially Lindsey’s One-Woman Moving Company™.

Load car.
Drive to new house.
Unload car.
Drive back.
Repeat until either the house is empty or I lose the will to live. 😂

And can I just point out that I’ve VERY recently moved an entire business and studio home too?!

Apparently I looked at that experience and thought, “Do you know what would be fun now? Moving the entire bloody house as well.” 🫠

I’m tired already and we’ve barely started.

But we’ll make it work, one car load at a time. And eventually all this chaos will be worth it when we’re properly settled into our new home. 🩷

I think I can safely say I’ve found my happy place. 🌊☀️

Give me a warm sunny day, a beautiful beach, the sound of the waves and my feet in the sand… and something in my brain just goes quiet.

Life has felt incredibly loud lately. There’s always something to think about, something to organise, something that needs doing or something playing on my mind.

But put me near the sea and everything seems to slow down.

I breathe a little deeper.
My shoulders drop.
My mind stops racing quite so much.

And for a little while, I can just be.

I don’t think I realised until recently just how much I needed places that make me feel like that.

So yep… I’m officially claiming the coast as my happy place. 🩷

Preferably warm, sunny and with an ice cream somewhere nearby, obviously. 😂🍦

Now autumn? That’s a different story altogether… 🍂

When the leaves start turning and there’s a chill in the air, forget the beach — I’m heading straight for the cosy forest, crunchy leaves underfoot, enchanted woodland vibes and my little Mushroom Hollow. 🍄

Apparently I don’t have one happy place. I have seasonal happy places. 😂

And honestly? I’m absolutely fine with that.

A little life + Wilks update 🌸

Things are looking a little different behind the scenes at the minute!

The studio is officially home, I’m slowly getting everything organised into its new space… and now we’re also starting to organise and pack ready to move house in the coming weeks. Because apparently moving one entire workspace wasn’t enough chaos for me. 😂

I’m doing some Wilks bits this morning, keeping orders moving and getting everything organised, then this afternoon we’re switching off and heading to the beach with the girls for some much-needed family time. 🌊

And actually, that feels very fitting alongside August’s Wildflower Meadow pot.

This collection was inspired by those slower summer moments — wandering through wildflowers, running your hands through them as you walk, fresh air, sunshine and just taking a minute to actually be where you are.

Life feels incredibly full at the moment, in more ways than one, and I think I’m appreciating those little pockets of calm more than ever.

So today there’ll be work, probably some packing, and then sandy feet, sea air and family time. 🩷

🩷 A little thank you from me today…

The first photo is me and my mam on my wedding day.

And right now, looking at photos like this hits very differently.

I’m finding it incredibly hard to process what’s happening and the fact that our time with her is so limited. Some days I can talk about it, some days I can’t, and some days I just need something else for my brain to focus on for a while.

That’s where creating has been helping me.

Yesterday I launched my Wildflower Meadow Candle Pot, and I received two lovely orders. 🌸

Two might not sound huge to some people, but right now? I’m incredibly grateful for them.

I know I haven’t shown up for this launch in the way I normally would. I haven’t had the energy to build weeks of hype, post constantly or be everywhere online — and I think I’m finally accepting that I simply can’t expect that of myself at the moment.

But what I have had is this wonderful community quietly showing up around me.

The DMs.
The messages asking how I am.
The check-ins.
The people ordering.
The people sharing my work.
The people telling me there’s absolutely no pressure to reply.

I don’t think you’ll ever really know how much that has meant to me. 🩷

Making these Wildflower Meadow pots gave me something beautiful to concentrate on amongst something incredibly painful. Sitting there painting every flower, leaf and butterfly gave my mind somewhere else to go for a little while.

And that’s exactly what I want Wilks to be for me moving forward — creativity without pressure. Making beautiful things because creating genuinely helps me breathe.

But mostly, today I just wanted to say thank you.

My brand new Wildflower Meadow Candle Pot is now officially available on the website. 🩷

This one has taken so much time, tweaking and hand painting to get exactly where I wanted it, and I’m so happy with the finished result.

Soft wildflowers, butterflies, deep green vines and all those tiny painted details come together to create a pot inspired by slow meadow walks, quiet moments and that feeling of running your hands through wildflowers as you wander.
