There are 2 hockey tournaments at Unicon. Tonight I caught the small final with Swiss Team 2 v BTC Baikau Bogaloos. Great game! Tight and fast.

Muni day 1. Again a super hot day.

Expert UpHill was mad, I struggled with the heat, dust and asthma. I had 2 dismounts going up but still got first in age group.

Beginners downhill was a blast. Super flowing and fun. I came 11th overall and won my age group.

Day off for me... sort of. Spent the day fixing people's unicycles. I got presented with gold for age group in criterium...

Spent the day fixing people's unicycles.

I got presented with gold for age group in criterium and for muni xc. It was great having my fellow competitors on the stage with me.

Billy came 3rd in his age group.

Watched some of the platform jump and the generally hung about soaking up the amazing atmosphere.

UNICON22 Muni XC day.

Spent the morning at the info point / icerink running the mainanance area. Although got to watch some of the speed trials heats (16 best riders get to the final).

Afternoon it was the XC muni, as I had dropped back a category it was not as difficult and more flow course... but 🔥 40 degrees!

I set off at the back (due age group) and worked through the field to about 20th place at to of the hill on the first lap. I rode 2 laps before the heat got to me and ended up walking some of the hills.. was a great race though.

The evening it was the basketball. So much atmosphere!

Only at Unicon do you need unicycling parking! ❤️

Good day at Unicon22.

The maintanece stall was busy with lots of little things from bolts to bearings.

Criterium was FUN! The race had multiple heats consisting of a short sprint on the road and then a blast around a twisty turny course built on thw running track

I qualified for the final easily but found the final way harder and came in at about 10th position with our friend Adam in front.

Went for a swim in the river to cool down as it has been very hot!

Then have chilled watching the high jump over a bar and long jump

Seams like a long day today.

Muni practice day. Wow! The cross country is super brutal. It is up, up, up... then down, down, down... then repeat as many times as you can in 75mins. I have assessed my skills and dropped down a category for the cross country and down hill!

I then spent all afternoon building trials course with Jacob, amazing fun. The trials lot are mad!

Then trials... yes!

Then I am presented with the expert 10km medal for unlimited ungeared 3rd place. Got a massive cheer from the crowd, almost made me cry!!!

Day 2.
The trials was on all day and I caught bits of it, but most was running the maintance station out side the hall and then it was the 10km.

Lots of happy customers as we at the point where the 10km road riders met and realised they needed some fettling.

I raced the 10km unlimited race. I was in heat 3 (the fastest) and struggled to stay with the schlumpf 36 which are just amazing. I came in second ungeared unicycle in about 12th overall (results tomorrow).

Talking of which... The udc van and the maintance station will be at the Muni practice all tomorrow. I will drop a pin and share with Felix when I arrive.
