💙 Two photos. Two dreams. Two years apart. 💙

The photo on the left was taken when I opened Pearl & Gray over two years ago. It was my mum, me and my youngest daughter, Ellie, standing outside my little boutique, excited (and probably slightly terrified! 😂) about what the future might hold.

Fast forward to Saturday... and there we are again. ❤️

Only this time we're standing behind the counter in Ellie's very own business, Sugar Rush Social. 🥤🍒

Watching her open her doors after months of planning, decorating, painting, shopping, problem-solving (and keeping me very busy helping! 😅) made me incredibly proud. Seeing so many people turn up to support her on her opening day meant the world to us all.

It also reminded me just how important it is to support independent businesses. Every person who walks through the door, every purchase, every share, every recommendation... it all makes a difference.

To everyone who has supported Pearl & Gray over the last two years, and to everyone who supported Ellie on her opening weekend... thank you. ❤️

Here's to following your dreams, working hard, supporting each other, and hopefully getting a little more sleep this week! 😂

I honestly couldn't be prouder of Ellie. ❤️

She's worked incredibly hard to turn her dream into a reality in such a short space of time, and while today is opening day, this is just the beginning. She'll continue adding little touches and making improvements over the coming weeks as the business grows.

I don't know what's arrived faster this week... the sunshine or the delivery driver! 😂

The boutique has been filling up with gorgeous new clothing, handbags, jewellery and accessories, and if you loved our sage green trainers earlier this year... you'll be pleased to know they're back from the same supplier in a beautiful camel colour. 🤎 I have a feeling these won't be hanging around for long!

Earlier this year our sage green trainers flew out of the boutique quicker than I could unpack the boxes... so when I spotted these in a gorgeous camel colour, I just had to get them! 🤎

They're from the same fantastic supplier, which means you already know what to expect... ✨ Super comfortable ✨ Great quality ✨ Easy to wear with just about everything ✨ And best of all... they won't break the bank!

Something tells me these won't be hanging around for long either... so if you've got your eye on a pair, don't leave it too late or you'll be saying, "I meant to get some!" 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

What a week! ❤️

As another busy week comes to an end, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Pearl & Gray this week. Whether you've popped into the boutique, made a purchase, liked, commented, shared a post or simply recommended us to someone else... it really does mean the world to a small independent business. 🥰

I also want to say an enormous thank you to everyone who has shown so much support for my youngest daughter, Ellie, and her new venture Sugar Rush Social, which opens on Saturday 1st August. So many of you have followed her page, shared her posts and sent lovely messages. She's incredibly excited (and so am I!). 🇺🇸🥤🍒

It's been one of those weeks where I've been juggling the boutique, helping Ellie get everything ready for opening day, organising the monthly Longton Artisan & Cultural Fair, and keeping the Love Longton page updated...

Safe to say... I think I've forgotten what sitting down feels like! 🤣

Would I change it? Not a chance. Seeing people support local businesses and our town makes every busy day worthwhile.
If you're out and about next week, we'd love to see you in the boutique. We've got lots of gorgeous new arrivals waiting for you, and don't forget to keep an eye out for Sugar Rush Social's opening too! ❤️
