📸🏺 Here's your chance to dress like a potter!! 🏺📸

There’s even more reason to visit Middleport Artisan Market this September, as our friends at Middleport Pottery are inviting visitors to take part in their brilliant Dress Like a Potter research project.

Pop along, try on historic-inspired pottery workwear — including caps, bonnets, waistcoats and aprons — and help researchers understand how costume can make heritage experiences more memorable, engaging and fun.

It’s a fantastic chance to step into the stories of Stoke-on-Trent’s pottery workers, share your thoughts and snap some pretty unique photos while you’re there!

👉 To take part in Dress Like a Potter, head to the Placing House via the Bottle Oven entrance between 11am and 3pm.

Once you’ve explored the bottle oven and had your photo moment, don’t forget to pay our terrific traders a visit too 💛

We’ll have a wonderful line-up of local makers, bakers and creators bringing handmade gifts, artisan finds, delicious treats and plenty of market-day loveliness to this iconic heritage venue.
