'Defected & Peppermint Jam Present House Masters: Mousse T.'

Buy for £38.99 online or in-store from tomorrow 🛒

Grammy-nominated German producer and DJ Mousse T. steps up for the next instalment of Defected’s celebrated House Masters vinyl series with a sprawling three-LP retrospective of his remix career.

Across six sides of wax, it gathers two decades of dancefloor craft, moving through his signature sound from disco-inflected house to breakbeat-tinged funk and back again. It’s a sharp reminder of just how adaptable and consistent Mousse T. has been behind the desk.

With four brand new “Shizzle” and “Re-Rub” productions exclusive to this compilation, plus one remix appearing on vinyl for the first time, this is an essential set. House Masters Mousse T. features classic and fresh takes on Dennis Ferrer, Martin Solveig, Moloko, Camelphat, Spiller, Shakedown and more.

Toolroom Sampler Vol. 24 is here! 🎶

As usual, there's plenty to get the blood pumping throughout, from the rolling, locked-in peak-time house nostalgia of Illyus Barrientos and Aden Remai's 'Deep Down' - all familiar diva vocal samples, Korg M-1 organ licks, big builds and even bigger beats - to the twisted, Mr Oizo-esque acid-powered French Touch insanity of David Tort's 'Any Fonque'. Sandwiched in between you'll find the low-slung dark-room hedonism of 'Lazy' by Tony Romera and Gene Farris, and the insatiably funky disco-house pump of WHO's 'Can't Stop'.

Just arrived! 🙌

'Afro Medusa - Pasilda'

At the turn of the Millennium, West London trio Afro Medusa scored a massive international club hit with debut single 'Pasilda', a sun-soaked, salsa-powered Latin house delight. Here, it gets the reissue treatment it deserved, with the threesome's gorgeous, carnival-ready original mix being joined by a clutch of key remixes from the time.

There's a wickedly bass-heavy and percussive stepper from Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano, a joyous and piano-rich Latin house roller by Knee Deep, a breathlessly up-tempo and sub-heavy Klubbheads rub, a smooth and synth-heavy Blank & Jones translation, a dubby Balearic head-nodder from Afterlife, a sleazy 4/4 UK garage bumper by Siege and a fizzing two-step revision by Sunship.
