Over the last couple of months, we've seen something really special happening across our town — and we want to take a moment to say 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨. 🥹👏

Thank you to everyone who has:

💬 Said such lovely, positive things about our town, both online and in person
❤️ Continued to believe in Longton and the people working hard to make it better

We've seen some genuinely heart warming comments recently from people saying how much 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱, how much they love the atmosphere and how grateful they are to everyone putting their time, energy and passion into helping turn the town around.

And honestly… 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁. ❤️

But it's important to remember that it's not just businesses making things happen.

🌸 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 deserve a huge shoutout too.

The brilliant Bloomin' Longton volunteers who give their time to maintain the planters around the town and keep Longton looking colourful and cared for.

📚 The volunteers who help run From Longton and Proud CIC / The Little Longton Book Exchange, creating a lovely community space for people to enjoy.

And the many other people who quietly give their time, energy and skills to make a difference.

Then there are the people behind the scenes making new opportunities possible.

👏 A huge thank you to Longton Exchange Shopping Centre and Longton Victorian Market management for securing new businesses and giving entrepreneurs a place to start, grow and invest in our town.

We've welcomed 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀, 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 recently and that's something worth celebrating.
But here's the REALLY important bit...

New businesses need customers.

Independent businesses need customers.

Markets need visitors.

Events need people turning up.

And town centres need people choosing to spend their money locally.

Every time you buy something from an independent shop, grab a coffee, visit the market, attend an event, recommend a local business or simply tell someone something positive about Longton...

𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻'𝘀 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.🫶

Longton's story isn't being written by one person, one business or one organisation.

It's a collaborative effort.

Business owners.
Market traders.
Volunteers.
Community groups.
Property owners.
Event organisers.
Local organisations.

And most importantly, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

So let's keep going. 💙

The traders are all set up, the stalls are looking fantastic, and there’s already a brilliant atmosphere here at Longton Exchange! 🎉

The smell of freshly cooked food is filling the air, artisan makers are ready to welcome you, and there are plenty of unique gifts, local produce, crafts, and much more to discover.

💪 We’re also excited to have PureGym Stoke Longton getting ready for a live demonstration, with some great goodies and giveaways available throughout the day!
