🌳 Back to my roots... quite literally! 💚

I spent a little time today starting a new wire tree, and it felt so lovely to revisit something I haven't made in such a long time.

When I first opened Sakura Studio Gallery, I had a couple of large free standing wire tree sculptures on display that i had made. Then one day Ruth from Stone Rose Crystals asked if I could wire wrap a crystal for a customer... and the rest, as they say, is history!

Since then, wire wrapping has become such a huge part of what I do. I've spent the last few years refining my techniques, learning new styles, creating jewellery and even teaching it as one of our most popular workshops.

So today felt a little nostalgic. 💕

It's funny how our creative journeys evolve, but sometimes it's nice to revisit where they all began. I don't think this will be my last tree... 🌳✨

Studio Update 🌸

Sakura Studio Gallery will be closed today and tomorrow.

Following Boundless Creativity arts festival and a massive week of studio clean-up and teaching, the heat has finally caught up with me!

I'm listening to my body, staying home to rest, and keeping the kids cool.

✨ We had a lovely first workshop back after Boundless Creativity - it was wonderful to welcome everyone along for Beginners Wire Wrapping, you all did such a fantastic job. I always love seeing how quickly confidence grows and how each person creates something completely unique.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined me – I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! ❤️

And some exciting news... my next workshop, Wire Wrapped Bangles, is now fully booked! 🥰

Morning all, we will be opening later this morning as we have some things to do before me and the kids head over to the studio 🌻

After a couple of days to recover from BOUNDLESS Creativity, we're back in the studio! 💕

I'm not going to lie... it's an absolute shambles! 😂 We've certainly got our work cut out for us getting everything unpacked and back in its place before workshops begin again, but onwards and upwards!

Over the coming days I'll also be making my way through all of the wonderful photos and videos from the festival, sharing some of my favourite moments and memories from what turned out to be such a special day.

A huge thank you as well to Emily Silkstone for kindly sending over the beautiful photos she took for us. 💛 I can't wait to share them with you all!
