The shop is reopening soon! 🎉 Since January, it's been hectic catching up with post-Christmas orders and admin, a bit of a whirlwind. I've also had that underlying feeling that I just want more time...

This Monday I did something I’d never done before… I made a U-turn. I was leaving the villiage where my partents live to return to work. Snow was on the ground, one of those rare bluebird days. 10 minutes out of the villiage I had a moment of clarity...why do I have to work today? I turned the car around and we went on a morning walk through the countryside to a pub for chips. It reminded me why I love being self-employed – to choose these moments.

Here’s a little peek back at last year – a crazy, beautiful year. Feeling ready to hit refresh for 2026, slow down a bit, and make time for the things that matter most 💛

Mum started and finished chemotherapy. I became an Auntie. Wonderful holidays in Spain, Sicily & Edinburgh 🌍

Cut my hair (really) short ✂️

Developed new products (some new pj's more successful than others, caps) ✅

Collaborated on exciting projects 🧦

Completed amazing embroidery commissions, and ran more workshops than ever before 🪡

Was a treat to co-design some classic StephieAnn socks with for ❤️

The socks are embroidered in the Brighton studio and finished by hand with our velvet bows - a really fun twist to my festive bow socks! They're embroidered with naughty and nice list - or personalise with your name or phrase 🌸

Thank you so much Etsy for this fab collaboration ❤️ Etsy was the first marketplace I sold with, I remember back in the day (10 years ago now!) winning a young designer award and visiting their London HQ! I've always loved hanging out woth the team throughout the years 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

11 years of StephieAnn = wonderful madness ❤️ I've been in the Hove Shop 3 years, and we've been busy prepping for another festive season 🎄

It's been a slow start this Christmas and my nerves have been tested. But - I've been in this rodeo long enough to know how unpredictable retail is, especially in 2025.

I'm forever grateful to those shopping small this Christmas and everyone whose attended a embroidery or flower pressing workshop this year. Not forgetting my fantastic support network of friends, family and cheerleaders 💜

I can’t believe how many Pressed Flower Workshops I’ve run this year 🌸
I must have had over 50 participants by now!

What started as a little “might as well see what happens” idea has turned into something joyous 💛 Watching people create pressed flower frames—each one completely unique.

Here are a few of my favourite creations this year.

📅 Next workshops:
• Friday 6th September – 11am
• Friday 27th September – 11am
• Sunday 28th September – One Garden Brighton 🌿

The session is an extra-special one—set in the countryside of Stanmer Park, surrounded by walled gardens and lush greenery.  A perfect way to spend a Sunday morning before exploring the park - plus 10% off in the One Kitchen restaurant.

I 💙this dress. I bought it 14 years ago in New York when I was 20—a classic that quickly became my go-to, throw-on favourite.

I loved her hard and she was torn, bleach-stained & worn thin. It made me so sad, I even remember Mum saying, 'I'm sorry about your dress Stephie'.

I've bought her back to life!

Using visible mending techniques and embroidery, I reinforced the holes, stitched over bleach marks, and added fruit! 🍒🍊🍓 She's my Fruity Tutti Dress now full of backstitch, chain stitch, French knots, sashiko… love!

I’ve started teaching Visible Mending & Upcycling Workshops so you can do the same—turn worn pieces into treasures. You can request these workshops online or DM.

Also, one spot left for my popular Intro to Embroidery workshop on Saturday 30th August at 11am – £45. These sessions are limited to 4-5 people with lots of guidance, take home practical advice & templates.📍DM to book.

For a long time now, I've been really embarrassed about something.

My website. It just didn't feel like me.

For the last 6 months we've been building something I'm proud of. StephieAnn has a new look and I'm so pleased to share it with you.

I absolutely love it! I love how fresh it is, the colours, how it reflects... Me! My favourite parts are the homepage, it looks so chic! The embroidery service page where you can input exactly what you'd like me to create with a simple form. And the workshop page! Where you can see and book Pressed Flower frames & embroidery sessions 🌸❤️

The are in full swing! It was hectic last week setting up but I am SO happy with how the shop looks. (What do you think of my new flower stickers?!) Its really lovely to have .goodies back with me, with their range of handmade non-tarnishable jewellery inspired by Ivans recent travels to Vietnam, as well as with her gorgeous range of pottery. The shop will be open everyday throughout May, weekdays 10am-5pm, weekends 11am-5pm. We're number 5 on the hope to see you soon!!
