I don’t really know how to say goodbye properly, so I’m not going to try and make this perfect.
I’m experiencing stress and overwhelm from fighting to be taken seriously about my accessibility needs. So I’ve paused drawing, commissions, prints, and I’m reducing screen time to keep my nervous system regulated.
Here’s what I want to say clearly:
I’m successful. I have a wonderful family. I’m grateful and capable.
But even successful people quietly struggle when accessibility needs are misunderstood.
Because I achieve a lot, people sometimes don’t realise how difficult things are inside my head.
I’m taking June away from here.
But I’m starting something new: privately talking with local business owners about being a neurodivergent customer. Not to complain—to share, learn, and spark conversations about accessibility.
Small changes create surprisingly positive results.
Tiny adjustments can completely change someone’s stress levels, confidence, ability to function.
I want to build a “hive mind” of people willing to listen, learn, adapt, and help create environments where more people can thrive instead of masking in silence.
