♻️ IT’S RECYCLING WEEK! ♻️

We all know how important it is to look after our planet, and clothing is a big part of that. 🌍👕

The fashion and textiles industry is estimated to produce 2–8% of global greenhouse gas emissions, while around 92 million tonnes of textile waste are generated around the world every year. 😲 (UNEP - UN Environment Programme)

That’s why here at Stourbridge High Street, we have our famous Recycle Rail! ♻️

It gives clothing that might need a little bit of TLC a second chance, rather than going to waste. Some items might need a repair, a clean-up or just a little bit of imagination — but you never know what you might find! 👀

And to celebrate Recycling Week, we’ve got a special offer…

💚 WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!! 💚

We’ve got some exciting news here at Barnardo’s Stourbridge — quite a few of our wonderful volunteers have recently moved on to paid roles elsewhere, thanks in part to the valuable experience and confidence they’ve gained through volunteering with us! 🎉👏

While we’re incredibly sad to see them go, we’re also SO proud of them and delighted to see them doing so well in their new roles! 💚

But… this does mean we need some new members to join our amazing team! 👀

We’re currently looking for Till Volunteers on the following days:

🛍️ Tuesday: 9am–1pm
🛍️ Wednesday: 9am–1pm & 1pm–4:30pm
🛍️ Friday: 1pm–4pm
🛍️ Saturday: 11am–3pm & 3pm–5pm
🛍️ Sunday: 12pm–2pm

No previous retail experience is required! 🙌

We’ll provide you with full training, so whether you’ve never used a till before or you’re already a retail expert, we’d love to hear from you!

Volunteering with us is a brilliant opportunity to:
