Please take note of the dates for works to happen. There are alternative carparks to use while it's going on.

CAR PARK (at the rear of Wordsley Green Health Centre) UPDATE!

After many years of trying to establish responsibility for this car park, I now have some much-needed clarification.

For years, I had been led to believe that part of the car park belonged to the NHS.

It has now been confirmed that all five parking bays belong to the Council, although responsibility for them sits with different Council departments.

Resurfacing works to two of the parking bays is scheduled for 11th–13th November 2026.

The remaining three bays are also Council-owned, but fall under different departments. I will therefore continue to pursue the relevant teams regarding these areas so that we can establish what action will be taken to address their condition as well.

I know how frustrating the state of this car park has been for residents and Health Centre users. At least we now have clarity that the land is not NHS-owned and that responsibility for the five bays sits with the Council.

It has taken far too long to get to this point, but I am pleased that work on two of the bays is now scheduled, and I will continue pushing for a solution for the remaining three.
