Perhaps one consolation (?) of the pandemic is the chance some people have taken to write their memoirs. These books were produced from artwork to printed sheets and then to the finished book. Bound in red buckram with gold blocked titles to the front board and spine, head and tail bands plus page marker ribbon. With laminated dust jacket as the finishing touch. Printing aside all produced by hand.

From Horses in the 1700’s to Sherman ‘Crab’ Flail tanks in WW2 a scarce copy of the history of the 22nd Dragoons. The old spine lining and glue were removed, pages repaired and sections re-sewn. Glued and re-lined. The case was made from new boards and covered in cloth closely matching the original. The old gold blocking scanned and new artwork produced to allow new foil blocks to be made.
