❗Community Shop Assistant Manager Opportunity – Straiton Stores ❗
📍 Location: Straiton, South Ayrshire
⌚Hours: Saturday 7.30am to 2.30pm, Sunday 9.30am to 2.30pm. Total 12 hours
Fee: £14.00 per hour
Contract: Self-Employed Contractor

Straiton Stores, our thriving community-owned village shop, is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Community Shop Weekend Assistant Manager to help drive the success and ongoing development of this valued local asset.

This exciting role involves:
Supporting and coordinating volunteers
Promoting community engagement
Helping to ensure the smooth running and future sustainability of the shop
Working closely with the Manager and Board of Directors

We're looking for someone with:
Strong organisational and communication skills
Experience managing or coordinating staff and/or volunteers
Good IT skills
A passion for community development and local sustainability

Posting on behalf of Straiton Community Project Fund Panel - North Carrick Community Benefit Company (NCCBC) Community-led Projects Fund (CPF) is up and running for another year. The Fund has £10,000 to each of the eight village communities and £20,000 to Maybole. Decisions on how these funds are used are made locally by Local Panels and there is no need for match funding.
Community groups in Crosshill, Straiton, Kirkmichael, Kirkoswald, Maidens, Turnberry, Dunure, Minishant and Maybole should look out for publicity about the CPF during August and September, and make sure their local panel knows about any projects they’d like to do.
