Made it Monday - Martin, these are just lovely! They just go to show that a 'set' doesn't have to be carbon copies of one another. The glaze ties these pieces together perfectly but have showcased playing with texture too.

Did we mention this autumn term is going to look a little different??
In the handbuilding studio our lovely Gaye is going to be focussing 'From the Ground up', there will be a programme of workshops teaching the fundamentals of handuilding: pinch pots, slab building and coiling. A range of workshops from beginner to confident potter in each discipline no matter what stage of the journey you are at.

We see so many lovely pots made in our studio. Members and students spending time creating their own projects, all different and all unique to each individual. Thrown or handbuilt projects are a labour of love - time planning, making, refining, decorating, glazing, it’s a journey, sometimes exploring and experimenting new ideas and techniques.
We love being part of it; teaching beginners who want to start learning to throw or handbuild through to potters who want to continue developing their skills. We believe teaching students strong foundation skills, individual support and small classes is really important to give potters confidence and inspire them to follow their own pottery journey.

Nina made this beautiful coil pot, it was a project where she set herself new goals and the chance to explore new ideas. It was pure joy to follow her creative journey, well done Nina it’s a real triumph!
