This course is designed for complete beginners, people returning to pottery after a break, and those who have had a go before but are struggling to make consistent progress. Over two days we will work through the foundations of wheel throwing step by step, building good habits from the beginning and developing a reliable process that you can continue to practise long after the course has finished.

One of the lovely things about our studio is watching our members develop their own ideas.
Everyone works differently - choosing what they want to make, exploring throwing or handbuilding, learning new skills and figuring out how to bring their ideas to life.

We’re there alongside them too - offering guidance, sharing ideas, helping when something doesn’t quite go to plan and encouraging them to find their own way of working.

Then comes the fun part… deciding how to finish it. Colours, textures, slips, glazes and decoration - often inspired by something they’ve seen, loved or simply want to try.
There’s no right or wrong. Just the freedom to explore, experiment and gradually develop your own style.

That’s what makes being part of our pottery family so special - learning, creating and supporting each other along the way.

This course is a popular one so we are running it twice this month! Designed for potters who know the basics but want to become more consistent at the wheel. Through guided repetition, individual troubleshooting and plenty of clay, we'll strengthen your core skills, build muscle memory and tackle the common wobbles that hold progress back.
