Love this mention from Vidy Designs .... Beth won our competition a few months back and chose this gorgeous deep duck egg blue for her bespoke colour on her clock hands ... and so gorgeously styled with her own handmade fabric flowers too! 👏🏼🌟

Easy peasy! 🎉 Day 3 of indie week is to shout out about other independents that I know and love - so today's challenge is actually narrowing down a few to share! I LOVE shopping independent... always have - always will. There are so many incredible independent designers and makers putting their heart and soul into producing top quality items that we're absolutely spoiled for choice. It's important for me to buy local as much as possible but I also love shopping small and supporting independents further afield online. First up is who hand make simple, beautiful clocks from concrete. There's been lots of 'discussions' (arguments 🙄🤫😉) since this arrived in our house as everyone wants it in their room! Gorgeous people making gorgeous clocks! 👌 Other independents that I love are ... I could go on, but I should stop! Go check these guys out and support small for an absolutely cracking Christmas! (Be warned - you won't want to give any of this stuff away - It's all on my Pinterest under a board labelled "Gifts for me!😆") Have a fab rest of the day peeps. Bx⁣

PS, Whilst I have you :-) can anyone tell me the name of the fabric I made these flowers from?! It's not a pop quiz I just love the fabric and would love to get some more but I got it quite a while ago so haven't got a clue what it is! 🤔 My guess is that it's a liberty print but... Any help would be gratefully received! x⁣

day 10: you

here we are, this is us, it was a special day and she is a special woman ... I am a lucky man
you wouldn’t know it from this picture but we shy away from the limelight a little and we believe our clocks really should take centre stage.
but in brief we are both Yorkshire born and bred, naturally we love tea (Yorkshire of course) strong with a mere splash of the white stuff, we love music, I play the guitar and that’s how I unwind, our life is full of love and life and we honestly couldn’t be happier ♥️

Day 4: tools & materials

so we would be absolutely lost without our trusty wooden spoon. pitted and weather worn, it’s has been with us since the very beginning of our concrete mixing journey. it has mixed every single batch of the tough stuff for each of our handmade clocks and we don’t plan on trading it in for a younger model any time soon ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

a flatlay can tell an epic tale and this is ours

our creative process is simple, like our clocks. we could even say we find it quite soothing.
measuring out the concrete mixture, pouring into the mould, practicing patience whilst the concrete sets, mixing and pouring the resin for the clock face, smoothing the rough edges before carefully putting all the parts together to finish the piece
simple right? that’s the beauty of a flatlay ... a simplified image of a refined process
