Eat Haggis and Ceilidh On

Eat Haggis and Ceilidh On A range of high quality, modern and fun products celebrating Scotland. www.eathaggis.com Taking inspiration from the classic "Keep Calm and Carry" on poster.

The "Eat Haggis and Ceilidh On" range of products orginally came from a single image made to celebrate St Andrews day on the 30 November. It proved so popular however that eventually a series of high quality prints and gift cards were produced and we are delighted to introduce the new T-shirt and mugs ranges too.

Last year my friend's at the National Trust of Scotland invited me to collaborate on a range for Culloden to mark the 280th anniversary of the Battle.

My previous works for the Trust have always featured buildings or structures reproduced through accurate drawings, with crisp lines, geometric shapes and cut-out backgrounds.

For this collection and for this important place, I wanted the work to be looser. I was interested in capturing the feeling of landscape rather than just accurately documenting. I used layered textures, muted natural colours, and simplified forms to suggest the changing weather, light, and mood. The final work is a collage of water colour, acrylic and digital.

I think these artworks sit somewhere between fine art and graphic design, recognisable but slightly abstracted, contemporary in composition, and shaped as much by the emotion and history of place as by the physical landscape itself.

It is an incredibly moving location that had a massive impact on the Scotland that followed. The Centre captures that story well and it is highly recommended to visit.

My new range is in their store and on the Trust's website now.

At the recent tradeshow I had a lady almost wet herself laughing at this card and telling me it was extremely rude.

Apparently in her part of Scotland a 'winch' means something significantly more than just a kiss.

It got me thinking what other words for a kiss are used across Scotland?

What's your favourite from your area?

Loads of new designs for 2026 launching at Top Drawer including these new designs in my wee Hebridean range. I'm fixed on the wee dog being called Pud (after black pudding) but still open to be convinced on the wee man's name. Angus and Hamish were the two most popular suggestions previously.

12 designs now in this collection but I want to keep drawing more. They need a wee picture book adventure.

Come see them in person on stand S79.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and happy Christmas.

A great time to reflect on a busy year and to be with or to think about our loved ones. Shout out to those who will be alone or those who will be working today.

If you are lucky enough to be spending time with your friends or family then I hope there are lots of love and laughter and if you are even luckier to be spending the day with small children I hope you survived being woken up at 6am and that you remembered to buy those batteries.

Merry Christmas to all.

Last sacks of orders heading off to the post office yesterday, with our super photogenic wee team. (I sadly didn't get the memo about the mustard yellow.)

A huge thank you to everyone for their support this Christmas, you have certainly kept us very busy. Exciting to think of all our designs sitting under Christmas trees around the world.

That's us mostly closed until 5 January (with a catch up postal day on 29 December) looking forward to spending time with our loved ones and resting between massive meals.

Thank you again.

Hello fellow Southsiders, no need to worry about last minute post, there is still time to pick up some of my designs right here in the Southside of Glasgow.

Just use the code SOUTHSIDE at the checkout to zero the postage and then drop me an email to arrange a suitable time to collect on Christmas Eve via our wonderful local stockist on Pollokshaws Road (You can also buy lots of other lovely things from his shop while you are in).

We will be in the studio pulling together orders until 6pm on Tuesday 23 December and all orders using the SOUTHSIDE code will be dropped off at Stephen's Shop for collection on Christmas Eve, Wednesday 24 December.

Its like Santa is meeting you half way! . . . kinda

All other orders will continue to be pulled together and posted as normal.
