Well - we made it - open today for our first day at 1 Lansdown. And the first customer in bright and early at 7am was unbelievably a cat ! Followed by Derrick McLean at the official opening time 9am - thanks to Derrick of the snap - so great to have with us for the opening! So many people to thank for getting us to our (final?) destination -will save all the thanks for my next BIG post ! Just gonna try get through today - if I appear to be a bit of a zombie - it’s because I am a bit of a zombie ! 2 gigs in the shop today le chat noir jazz trio are here at 1pm performing django Reinhardt styleeeee! Wooden spoon brings something altogether different to the shop at 4pm - both shows are free We’re here till 5pm ! Ritsuko Hidaka

Handed the keys back for 7A Lansdown - we had a good run there - some happy memories but also for various reasons a need for change ! We’re glad to be staying in Stroud our home for the last 13 years - London called but Stroud delivered us a new home - can’t wait to open the doors at 1 Lansdown ( the old Sew and So shop) on Sat 5th September and show you what we’ve been working on over the last 3 months ! Big thank you to Graham Cyril David Jake Jag Jayne Mick Jane and Clare for helping move the “beast” thanks also to Will for bringing the Dolly ! Impatient early arrivals meant we started early :( sorry to those who came when the heavy lifting had already been done ! Now the last heavy task is over we can get on with the serious task of CD alphabetisation ….. is it D for David or B for Bowie T for The Police or P for Police ….. We’re making great progress clearing out the old shop - but we need a hand moving this bookshelf from the old shop to the new one !
It’s a bit of a monster - we moved it before with a trolley - but we’ll need help stopping it tipping over as it’s moved about 40metres to the new shop was hoping to do it today - early evening best 6/7pm perhaps ? Tables, tables, tables - we have four to give away ! They’re free …. You just need to collect from the old shop at 7A Lansdown we have .
2x steel legged classroom tables.
Size H= 70cm W=55cm L=110cm .
1x wooden / solid dining table .
Size H= 75cm W=74cm L=135cm.
1x wooden smaller table.
Size H= 73cm W=68cm L=107cm.
I’m at the shop all day tomorrow - either at 7A or 1 lansdown .
We need them to be taken asap - so please come and collect if you’re interested - I’ll be putting them out in front of the shop tomorrow ( Thursday !) .
Just 10 days to go before the new shop opens !! It’s looking great - can’t wait to open the doors…..!
