Good evening🤓. A few of you may have spotted my new venture! I now have my antiques and vintage goodies for sale , as well as in Stroud. Station Road Antiques is located, as you might expect, at Station Road, Semley, just off the A350 between Warminster and Shaftesbury (the latter forever known by those of us of a certain age as the home of Gold Hill, a seriously steep cobbled street used in the 1970s by Ridley Scott for his nostalgic “Hovis” advert). I digress ….. Formerly Dairy House Antiques, the new look antiques centre has recently been taken over by Andy of and his sister Sally. Now housing the antique and vintage wares of over 25 dealers, including Yours Truly, it’s open 7 days a week, and offers a very warm welcome to all those who care to come and browse, inspect, delight in and/or purchase the wide range of items on offer. Its also just 100 yards or so from the excellent - double-bubble for all those who like to get their money’s worth😂. If you have any queries or need info on items in this post, please contact the centre on tel 01747 228008 or at [email protected] I’ll be popping in regularly to bring new stock and re-merchandise (a.k.a faffing about to make it look “just so”. This antique 20 drawer painted and stained pine watch-makers cabinet with gorgeous little brass k***s is one of my contributions🤓 There is so much to browse this weekend as always at the Cotswolds Biggest, and best, antique centre. Three little pigs - cast iron hooks - new yet cast from original Victorian moulds, they are a fabulous bit of porcine fun, and would make a perfect gift for any lover of pigs. And rest assured is made of bricks (not straw, not sticks) so it will not succumb to the Big Bad Wolf🤓. #🐷🐷🐷

I can’t resist a pretty mirror - new in amongst my current collection of mirrors is this Victorian / Edwardian oval mirror with intaglio-cut floral design, with bevelled edge and dark red velvet frame. It shows some minor signs of ware befitting its age, a little like the wrinkles on a beloved granny. I see it looking fabulous in an exciting maximalist home, or set alone amidst any moody interior. Tonight’s highlight is this gorgeous antique wood block puzzle with thirty (30) pieces featuring the grumpy cat on the lid, a sheep, a cow, a horse, a dog and a donkey. In good condition in its original box, manufactured by Leighton Brothers, its a really lovely example.
