Just finished my "make friends with your sewing machine" workshop, which was so fun. Lovely to see everyone getting excited about the possibilities of sewing!! Thanks for coming!!
I thought I'd share how I manage to change the shop over so it's ready for a workshop. I don't have lots of space so it all gets tucked away. I've got quite quick at the process now.
I do sometimes hide things away so well that I forget they are there....
Oh and then I have to put it all out again!! 😫

The Junos by in a mid-weight striped denim. Love this wide-legged cropped trouser style! They are a bit of a bold statement in the stripe but I think they're fun.
I am making them out of a cotton/linen next to achieve a softer silhouette.
I spent a fab day with getting my fly front zip right. Lots of super tips shared🙏 thank you.
I have one ticket left for my trouser skills workshop with .ives on the 22nd November. Great for those of you who want some hand holding through fly front zips and waistbands etc.

Spreading the love for the pattern. I've made it three times now and plan to make a dress version in corduroy soon.

It's beginner friendly and so easy to wear and adapt.

Version 1: is the button back option in the calamine linen with jumbo ricrac and I made cover buttons to match.
Version 2: is the option with sleeves and a plain back in a scuttle black linen. Paired with my in chambray with piping
Version 3: is the sleeveless dress in a Hey Sew Sister poplin

I know lots of you have made this pattern too. Please share your versions! 😍

New workshop! For those of you love embroidery, upcycling and Prince!!
Come and make a RASPBERRY BERET 🧑‍🎨🪡🧵

Bring along an old beret (or any item of clothing) and we will add an embroidered raspberry to it. Listening to Prince is a must as well obvs😆😍
Inspiration for the raspberry came from this fabulous book - Embroidery: A Makers Guide.

The weather is changing but it's still warm. It's all about dressing in layers.

Beautiful browns and fiery reds. There's a bit of blue thrown in too.

Stripes and ginghams.

100% Linens and cotton/linen mixes.

I really want to make a Merchant & Mills Florence top out of the pink and terracotta stripe😍😍😍
