Revised Wednesday League table following the latest round fished on the river Stour. Barry Sutton (1st) takes back 2nd place from Ken Noble (4th) with Steve Bishop Angling (2nd) keeping in touch of the top 3 headed by Mark Roscoe (3rd). positions in brackets from todays match.

Wednesday League Match held today on the river Stour (Essex Bank Pecks)

Mild & bright conditions today and the Stour had no flow and was quite clear, so not the best fishing weather. The first 5 pegs upstream of the weir did however fish well with Barry Sutton coming out on top with a Roach and Perch catch of 6lb 2oz mostly caught at 13m with a few at 6m. Unfortunately losing a big Tench which would have been nice to add to the bag of fish. Second place was taken by Steve Bishop Angling with 5lb 2oz catching mostly around 6m out which included Roach on Elderberrys picked from the bank in the morning 👍 third place was Mark Roscoe with 4lb 15oz and forth was Ken Noble weighing in 4lb 11oz. The other section fished harder and was won by Ian Carter with a hard earned 3lb 👏👌💪👍🐟🎣 the weigh sheet is below, peg 1 closest to the weir with 11 & 12 out of the trees. Thanks to everyone who came and fished, we are back there in two weeks and hopefully the bigger fish are more spread out 🙏

Updated league table:
SLMDAA & SVT Wednesday League round 17 was fished at Long Pond Fisheries with Barry Sutton not fishing Mark Roscoe extended his lead at the top to 17 points following a 3rd place finish with 51lb 5oz Ken Noble moved up to 2nd with his 2nd place on the day of 55lb 8oz with 8 rounds to go there is still time to catch Mark and don't forget there will be 5 dropper rounds which does squeeze the field up a bit! Well done to everyone who fished, the lake was great as usual 👍😀
