Updated league table following the latest round of the SLMDAA/SVT Wednesday league. Mark Roscoe extends his lead from the 2nd place on the river Stour today. 15 points clear, can we catch him? After 15 matches we'll calculate with 3 droppers which should squeeze up the front runners. Ken Noble & Barry Sutton swapped places, on weight difference only. Nick Pluck moved up a few places so one off the prizes!

SLMDAA/SVT Wednesday League round 12

12 fished the latest round on the river Stour, with the water clear a little flow it was always going to be a little tricky! Fishing Lady’s Island and a couple of pegs at Pecks. Gary Brooker gets his first win of the league with a credible weight 4lb 5oz (lady’s Island) alternating between a 4 and 5m whip adding some nice Rudd in his net - well done mate 💪👍🐟🎣. Mark Roscoe fishing at Pecks put 2lb 1oz on the scales with again a mixed bag including some nice Rudd. Steve Bishop Angling won that section (3rd overall) with 1lb 9oz 8drm (Pecks) Barry Sutton won the first section (lady’s island) with 6oz 8drm 😳 see the weigh sheet below, very tough on the island today! (Except Gary of course). Thanks to everyone who came you are true heroes 😜 Boxford Lake in a couple of weeks anyone interested talk to the guys in the shop 👍 I’ll put up the league table soon.

We’re looking for a Junior IT Support 👨🏻‍💻

We would like a NEW team member to join us in this role at our Basildon office.

This is a hands-on, first-line IT role helping keep the business running day to day. You’ll be supporting staff with everyday IT issues, setting up laptops and PCs, managing equipment, helping with onboarding and offboarding, keeping IT assets organised, and supporting wider IT projects when needed.

The role would suit someone practical, organised and helpful, with a good understanding of computers, software, devices and basic troubleshooting. You’ll need to be confident speaking to people, solving problems and knowing when to escalate issues.

📍Location: Basildon, Essex
🕒 Mon-Thurs 8:30am-5:00pm, Fri 8:30am-4:00pm
💻 Role: Junior IT Support / First-Line Support

Occasional out-of-hours support may be required, but this will be planned and exceptional.

Rushbrook Reservoir Match Sunday 14th June

Nice but breezy weather at Rushbrook today, the w**d is growing quickly now but the fish played ball which was better than the previous match a few weeks ago. Barry Sutton won the match with an impressive 108lb 1oz of Bream, Skimmers and Perch caught on a feeder at 37m using double maggot hookbait (had a few weighs during the day, thanks Rick Mc for helping out 😊👍) Second place went to Ken Noble with 30lb 14oz including a nice Tench down the edge on a feeder! 😳 No Carp were caught but there was plenty of activity from them around the lake. Many thanks to everyone who attended, we’ll have more matches at Rushbrook next year. The lake is better and better every year 💪👍🐟🎣
