I can't even try to make this look pretty as we're literally full to the gunals. However, increasingly we are having people pop into the studio for last minute gifts, this fine...and we love to see you, BUT, we are very much a working studio!

Whilst everything, other than glassware (except Amber apothecary glasses) is always held in stock and you will be made to feel very welcome, please don't expect a pristine "shop"!

We work erratic hours, often dictated by weather, but are going to be open 9 til 4 every Wednesday and Thursday and anyone is welcome to turn up during this time.

I'm also often here alone part of Saturday (usually pm), prepping for my Sunday markets, but you can always call to check.

So, do feel free to drop in. There's ample free and easy parking and often some bargains to be had, 2nds and end of lines. A pathway between the Christmas chaos will be cleared for you and we will be sure to cater for any lastminute.com presents you're after.

Bit of a reality post here, (with a bit of fun too), particularly for any small product based business, who relies so much upon Christmas.

I'm changing my insurance and have had to do a bit of a stocktake, including a rough costing for current oils.

It's been an eye opener and I know other businesses will concur

My question to you, is how much do you think these oils I have here amount to cost wise? It's nearest the pin amd the person closest will get £50 to spend on whatever they want from my range.

Whilst a bit of fun, I really do want to highlight the plight such small businesses have at this time of year . It's a real balancing act as to what you're paying out prepping for and what's currently coming in and takes courage and a lot of bravery, trusting the process of what's to come.

During Covid, many of us had the best years as High Street shops closed and people returned to buying small and buying local. I think most of us will have seen a downturn, particularly this year as a financial squeeze has affected each and every person in the 🇬🇧

So please, if you're reading this post, do think consciously about supporting those people on your doorstep who work so hard to bring their products to fruition during these summer months when shopping this Christmas. We all work our socks off to give you huge choice and realistically priced goods, made with our own fair hands.

So, have a guess and good luck! It goes without saying, this isn't open to any other candlenaker, wax melt maker or soap maker, but do know, I feel your current pains and wish you a great Q4. X

Over 70 stalls lining the Cornhill and Buttermarket. The joy of this market is I get a gazebo put up for me, the downside, its orange! So whilst I may look like I've applied my makeup with a trowel, I can assure you I haven't 🤣🤣 🍊🍊🍊
