Just a quick heads up!

Friday 7th August will be our last day open before a short break.
Catch 'n' Collect will be closed from Saturday 8th August and will reopen on Wednesday 19th August.

I'm taking a little time away to enjoy a family holiday and recharge after what has been an incredibly busy few months since opening the shop.

One exception though... Our The Hobbit Prerelease on Monday 10th August will still be going ahead as planned, so if you're booked on, there's no need to worry. We'll be there and ready for a great evening of play!

If there's anything you've been meaning to pick up, make sure you pop in and see us before we close.

Thank you all for the amazing support you've shown Catch 'n' Collect. Every visit, purchase and chat has helped make the shop what it is, and I really appreciate it.

I'll look forward to seeing you all again when we're back open on Wednesday 19th August.

Prize packs are here! 😁

Last Friday was the first chance for our League players to get their hands on the brand new Prize Pack Series 9, and it was great seeing them being opened in store! 🎉

If you haven’t joined us yet, we’d love to see you this Friday.

Our Pokémon League runs every Friday from 5pm until 8pm and everyone is welcome. Whether you’re learning the game, getting back into it, or you’ve been playing competitively for years, there’s a place for you at the table.

League is all about playing games, meeting other local players and being part of the community. As a Pokémon Play! Store, eligible League players also have the chance to receive Series 9 Prize Packs for taking part. And the best bit, it’s free to come join us!

If you’ve been thinking about coming along, this Friday is as good a time as any. Bring your deck and come and join us!

🎴 We now offer Direct Ace Grading at Catch ’n’ Collect! 🎴
We’ve partnered up with Ace Grading to make grading cards a lot easier for our customers. Instead of sorting out the online submission, packaging and postage yourself, you can simply bring your cards into the shop and we’ll handle the submission directly through Ace’s official system.
If you’ve ever looked into grading cards yourself, you’ll know the biggest hassle is usually the postage, insurance, forms and packaging. By submitting through the shop, you can avoid all of that.
The best part?
If you choose to have your cards returned to Catch ’n’ Collect, you won’t pay postage to Ace and you won’t pay return postage back to you — you’ll just collect your graded cards from the shop when they arrive. 👍
Ace offer a range of different grading tiers, from more affordable standard options through to faster turnaround services for higher-value cards. We can talk you through the different tiers in-store and help you choose the one that best suits your card and your budget.
Payment is simple too: you don’t pay us upfront for the grading. Once your submission has been completed and is ready to be returned, Ace will contact you directly and you’ll pay Ace for the grading service before the cards are sent back.
You’ll also get:
✅ A receipt with a tracking barcode
✅ Email updates from Ace as your cards move through the grading process
✅ Help choosing the right service level
✅ A local point of contact if you’ve got any questions
We can submit Pokémon, One Piece, Lorcana, Magic: The Gathering and other TCG cards.
So if you’ve got a card you’ve been meaning to grade, bring it in and we’ll take care of the boring bit for you 😄

⚫️ Pitch Black is here! ⚫️

Release day has finally arrived, and yes… we’ve got Pitch Black in stock! 🎉

But we also wanted to be transparent about something that many people don’t realise.

Even though we’re an official Pokémon Play! Store, that doesn’t mean we receive wholesale stock directly for any release, yet anyway. Play! status recognises us as a place to grow the Pokémon community through organised play and events, but sealed product allocation is a completely separate process.

To make sure our customers didn’t miss out on release day, we’ve had to source our stock from the secondary market. That means we’ve paid significantly more than standard wholesale prices just so we could have product on the shelves today.

We’d much rather be able to buy directly through normal distribution, and we’re continuing to work towards improving our allocations as we grow. Until then, we’re doing everything we can to make sure our local Pokémon community still has access to the latest releases.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support a small independent game store. Every purchase helps us take another step towards securing better stock for future releases. ❤️

We're incredibly excited to announce that Catch 'n' Collect is now an official Pokémon Play! Store! 🥳⚡
This means we're now recognised as an official location for Pokémon Organized Play, giving our community even more opportunities to enjoy the Pokémon Trading Card Game together.

📢 A Quick Update About Trading 📢

To help keep trading safe and fair for everyone, any customer under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when making a trade in-store.

We love seeing younger collectors getting involved in the hobby, but we want to make sure all trades are understood and agreed to by a responsible adult.

Our team is always happy to help assess values and facilitate trades, helping to ensure that all trades are fair, transparent, and enjoyable for everyone involved.

⚔️ MAGIC MONDAY IS HERE! ⚔️

We’re excited to announce our very first Magic: The Gathering event at Catch ’n’ Collect!

Even better, we’re now officially part of the Wizards Play Network, meaning this is just the beginning of regular Magic events, tournaments, prereleases, and more for our growing community.

There is space for up to 12 players, so be sure to grab your spot!
