I loved making this gourmet BRIGADEIRO cake for a special birthday girl who earlier in the month came from Rio to celebrate with family and friends in Marlow. 🥂🎂
What a beautiful, welcoming and humble family the Capaldi’s are, and I was totally in love with their house too. 😍 Anna was happy for me to photograph their sitting room with the stunning window you see in the picture, dating from around 1340 - it’s the oldest house in Marlow and was originally part of a monastery. She also showed me the studio/office where her late husband Jim used to work. It was a very cool and colourful room full of memories, with lots of pictures, a gorgeous Frida Khalo portrait decorating the wall and his pristine white piano still standing.
Daise from Daise's Kitchen served delicious Brazilian savoury TREATS including cheese bread, coxinha and empanadas, as well as a fresh lunch menu cooked on site. 😋 There was hot and cold meats, a very popular fish tart, salads, and that rice from the picture was just perfect. I highly recommend Daise’s catering service!
