There’s lots to see along the High Street: fresh fruit and veg from Pollards fruit & veg, something tasty from the Curry Man and pet feed and bedding at Simon’s stall, and the lovely ladies knitting for charity. You’ll also get a warm welcome and a giggle at Allmywitchyways! 🧶✨

Then wander over to The Delph for a look at Dobbs clothing. Come and say hello to our local traders!

How amazing does this food look? 😍

I popped into Sundae Wellness on Swadlincote High Street and honestly wanted to stay much longer. It’s a lovely space to pause, catch up with someone and enjoy a coffee or something to eat — and dogs are welcome too! 🐾

There’s a whole range of classes, including Reformer and Mat Pilates, yoga, barre and sculpt. You don’t need to book a class to visit the Health Bar, so you can simply pop in.

My aim next week is to visit all of our independent cafés in Swadlincote. It might be a tough job, but someone has to do it! ☕🍰

Without even realising it, I seem to have chosen a reddish theme for this morning’s photos! ❤️🍓 What do you think?

An interesting chat with Ben from Pollards fruit & veg about when autumn actually begins sent me off to do a little research. According to a BBC News article, it depends on which calendar you follow! 🍂

The meteorological calendar starts autumn on 1 September, the traditional Celtic calendar puts it at 1 August, and astronomical autumn begins on 23 September this year. So perhaps we were all right after all! 😊

Next stop was Al’s Sweets, where the warm pink tones of the strawberry bonbons caught my eye. Then it was down to Allmywitchyways, where a little Facebook lesson was had! There’s always something to learn on a wander around our town.

Whatever season you believe we’re in, Swadlincote is full of colour, with its wonderful market traders and independent shops. It’s a beautiful morning—come and have a wander! 🛍️

And a massive thank you to the lovely lady and her wonderful children who came to my rescue this morning, helping carry some of the many things I was bringing into work. Your kindness was very much appreciated! 💛
