You may have seen recent media reports linking so-called “v**e shops” with money laundering, illegal products and other criminal activity.
We want to reassure our customers that legitimate, established v**e businesses should not be confused with rogue operators simply because they have “V**e Shop” above the door.
The legitimate UK va**ng industry has made a significant contribution to the economy. Independent research estimated that the sector contributed around £310 MILLION to the UK Exchequer and supported almost 18,000 jobs.
We fully support action against businesses selling illegal products or being used as fronts for criminal activity. They damage the reputation of every genuine retailer who plays by the rules.
At V**eHQ Swadlincote, we’ve been trading since 2014, serving our customers, paying our taxes and operating as a genuine High Street business.
So when you see the headlines, please remember:
A rogue shop with v**es in the window does not represent the legitimate UK va**ng industry.
