A message from my partner who is a vet nurse: If you have pets that live outdoors in hutches etc. you need to bring them inside for the next few days. Shade and water will not be enough in the temperatures that have been forecast. They NEED to come indoors. Several people lost pets in last month's heatwave which was nothing like as hot as this one is forecast to be. Heatstroke is a truly horrific drawn out way for a pet to die. Bring the hutch indoors, make a makeshift cage, a laundry basket, a large box, whatever, but do not leave them outside, they WILL perish.
