A £2 same-day* delivery fee is applied to all orders under £60.

We’re also providing a free same-day LOCAL PICK-UP service on all orders, if you prefer to collect your gifts from our store front door.

Our Hiatus stamp ;

From homeware to skincare, soap & detergent refills or developing your surf skills, we at Hiatus aim to be as responsible as possible in our retail practices and products. You can count on us to let you know the sustainable and ethical ethos behind the products we stock in store this Christmas. Also, as of this December, Hiatus store is operating on 100% renewable energy ☀️🌬🌊

Our logo means a lot to us, it stands for what we believe in and the Hiatus name references “a break in the sequence”. In other words, it’s time for change and we need to push back on where consumerism has gone wrong.

Our recycled-paper carrier bags now carry our name on the outside so you know it’s good on the inside. Thank you for the hand-crafted lino stamp, it’s perfect 🙏

Hi everyone, we’re the Hiatus team, swipe right for a smile 👋

Since we first opened, face coverings have been compulsory to wear in our store, which means most of you don’t know who is serving you from behind the mask.

Service is key to our store’s ethos. We take pride in being as welcoming and accommodating as can be. A friendly smile is something that we haven’t be able to offer you as of yet, other than a couple of squinted eyes 😅

We thought we would give you all a digital smile so you can see what we look like behind the mask ☺️ .....Except for Jack, he wants to keep you waiting as he had to run off and fight crime during the unveiling shot 🦹‍♂️...he’s also not on Instagram for identity reasons 😂

Our beaches and wildlife need you ! Nappy castaways are washing up all around the Gower coastline.

As some of you may of heard, a cargo ship accidentally spilled 11 x 40ft shipping containers into the Bristol Channel on the 20th October. 7 containers were empty but 4 unfortunately were not, filled with nappies and other sanitary products (all unused).

These nappies are now littering our coasts. We teamed up with today to pick up what nappies we could from one of the many coves and beaches around the Gower. We filled three black bags in the space of an hour (our daily lock-down exercise).

There will still be plenty more littered sanitary products to collect over the coming days/weeks.

If you feel like you could help and know what to do, perfect. Just remember to bring gloves and strong refuge bags, soaked nappies are deceptively heavy 💪
