Fresh asparagus in today, the cutting season finishes shortly. Lots of fresh Gower produce today, broccoli, spring cabbage, hispi cabbage, beetroot and broad beans.
We have our own reared fresh Gower beef and our own reared pork this weekend, and fresh Gower lamb.

Today's homemade cafe cakes are lime and blueberry cake, chocolate and banana cake, white chocolate and pistachio cake, lemon sponge and Victoria sponge.
Served till 4pm.

We're now serving our own sourdough bread in our farm cafe, made using only Wessex Mill flour, Halen Mon salt and water. Freshly baked here every morning.
Currently only available on the cafe menu.

☀️☀️Caring for your dog in hot weather ☀️🌞

✴️ Provide constant access to shade and cold clean water.
✴️Limit walks to early morning and/or late evening
✴️Always temperature check the pavements. If the ground is too hot for you to hold the back of your hand on it for five seconds. It is too hot for little paws 🐾

🌞☀️Ways to reduce heat☀️🌞

✴️Prevent sunburn by using a pet safe suncream. Paying particular attention to the tips of their ears and nose.
✴️Regular grooming can remove excess fur making them feel more comfortable
✴️Adding ice cubes to water or providing frozen toys and treats is an excellent way to keep them cool.
✴️Using cooling mats, paddling pools or a damp towel to lie is a good cooling method (never wrap a wet towel around your dog as it can trap in excess heat.

💥💥💥If you suspect heat stroke 🥵 call your vet immediately and do not use ice or ice cold water to attempt to cool the dog down quickly. As sudden extreme cold can cause shivering and actually trap more heat in their bodies.💥💥💥
